Author has written 31 stories for Zenon, Harry Potter, Gundam Wing/AC, Princess Diaries, Robin Hood BBC, Doctor Who, Pirates of the Caribbean, Leviathan series, and Vampire Diaries.
Graduate with Hons. BA in English and German Studies, Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (I can teach high school English and History, whee!), MA in Humanities focusing on Cultural Studies and Museum Studies. Hopefully, PhD in September. Fan of country music, cowboys, the Welsh (particularly Merthyr Tydfil), castles and popcorn.
I've lived for a year in the UK, and I find that having that experience helps me write my Harry Potter fanfics, through local stores and names and brands, as well as the local lingo (although, to be fair, I really only know Welsh lingo, and I doubt I'll ever write Harry saying, "Alright, butty?" or "Bore da, Hermione!"). it gives a nice foundation and a solid backing to any fanfiction that seems far more real in the sense that you think it is someone who knows the area that can write realistic experiences for the characters.
I used to really, really like Harry Potter but I'm afraid that has waned over the past years. However, I still read numerous HP fanfics, and prefer the Harry/Hermione 'ship, but don't be surprised if you see others, like Oliver/Hermione, George (or Fred)/Hermione, Sirius/Hermione, Remus/Hermione and Blaise/Hermione. I'm most fond of Hermione-centric stories; yet I'll read almost anything, as long as it isn't Harry/Ginny or Ron/Hermione - I loathe those two ships with a fiery passion. Not a large fan of canon, in any sense, actually. It's so boring (and let's not forget Harry and Ginny are third cousins!).
You'll find that the majority of my Harry Potter stories are AU, and for the most part, deviate from Half-Blood Prince (or the Half-Baked Plot, whichever you prefer) and Deathly Hallows (which I never read). I prefer making my characters responsible, as well as slightly mature(-r than in the books), and explore good/evil, right/wrong in the action-adventure/romance genre. Stories involving time travel or cross-overs are very interesting to read and write! (There need to be more crossovers with Torchwood! Doctor Who! Stargate!)
At the moment I'm interested in the idea of taking the "cliche" plots (Harry at another school, Harry has a brother, etc.) and making them as real as I possibly could. I am still writing and working on Unto the Breach, Wyckham Academy/The Road Not Taken (mainly because it needs a serious rewrite after having taught in the Welsh/English school system), and there are some new ideas that have popped up since the summer when I've had free time that I am slowly working on every weekend or so.
I am currently obsessing over The Vampire Diaries, but given my thoughts on season 4 and The Originals stupid plotline, I am unsure how long my obsession will last. Especially with some of the awesome TV shows coming for September!
I apologise for the long delays in updates, although I do not know when they'll be updated or continued at the moment. I'd hate to just dump them, as I do have many ideas, and I will fully broadcast their adoption in a worse-case-scenario moment if I am 100 percent sure of not continuing the stories.
I'm on Tumblr! I reblog lots of kitty pictures and rants and raves about Arrow, FMA:Brotherhood, and Teen Wolf. Check it out:; Also, you may start to find a lot more stories on my Ao3 account, .
Thanks for your kind words, reviews, and patience! xx
WORKS IN PROGRESS (WIPs):
Which Way to Go: Chapter 05 up. Vampire Diaries / mostly canon pairings, but much, much more obvious Klaroline love, because they make my shippy heart beat so strong.
A Bad Death Eater Gone Good: Chapter 03 up. Harry Potter / No pairings, a Draco/Harry friendship, time travel adventure romp, with lots of skeptical!Hermione thrown in for humour.
Repeating the Past: Chapter 01 up. Working slowly towards chapter 02. Need to rewatch season 2 of TVD first.
Baker Street Irregulars: SHELVED, AS INCOMPLETE; WILL NOT BE UPDATED - READ CHAPTER 5 FOR REASON. /Figment of the Imagination: CONFUSED AND ON HIATUS. NO IDEA WHEN, OR EVER WILL BE, UPDATED. /Footsteps on a Different Path: HIATUS. Revision of "Wyckham Academy." / Nine Lives: ON HIATUS. I might get back around to this. We'll see. / Synchronicity: HIATUS. CAN'T STOMACH WHO ANYMORE. I blame Moffatt. I don't like his writing, at all. / Unto the Breach: HIATUS. Chapter 04 up. No pairings, a 'Harry Potter has a sibling' cliché rewrite - but remains the Boy-Who-Lived. Shocker!
