Author has written 6 stories for Angel, Stargate: SG-1, Buffy X-overs, and CSI.
I don't really write anymore. I'm neither gifted enough nor passionate enough about it for it to have a place when RL gets overwhelming. And it almost always is, these days. I think most of the stories I posted here in the old days are appallingly bad, but I'm reluctant to take them down, for some reason.
Lost Thoughts won the Black Rose Award in the third round at the Potential Awards, though. So check that one out, if you're going to read anything.
I'm partial to badass women, professorial characters, the especially emotionally reserved, and occasionally the adorably awkward. While I have a few OTPs (or OT3s), I tend to ship everyone I find intriguing haphazardly with each other and I've got a soft spot for crossovers and rare pairings. I almost exclusively lean towards femmeslash these days but I often have an issue where I find the predominant f/f pairing in a fandom dreadfully uninspiring. Current exceptions include The Good Wife's Alicia/Kalinda and The Closer's Brenda/Sharon. I'm also partial to Women's Murder Club, and The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I have a serious craving for Criminal Minds fic virtually all the time, because for some reason, in my head, Emily is the gayest gaymo to have ever gayed (I even want gen fic about, like, her going to goddamn pride events or feeling guilty for being comfortably closeted at work) but I just cannot ship her with JJ. (However, as of late I've been into any combo of Emily/Garcia/Morgan. And there is some shockingly amazing Emily Prentiss/Emma Frost out there.)
Fic that thoroughly explores sexuality or gender is a serious weakness of mine. (And I don't mean crossdressing fic where it's just for costume or kink's sake. Although, that's cool, too.) I'd really like to see a not-totally-AU story that has a genderqueer take on the identity of a character that's outwardly femme (or that's the kind of TV ultra-soft butch that shows up often on procedurals).
My OT3 right now is Leverage's Hardison/Parker/Eliot, although any two of them alone does not work for me at all. Also, that fandom needs more Sophie/Tara. I'm also bizarrely mesmerized by Tenth Doctor/Donna Noble and I think it's just because David Tennant and Catherine Tate have such fantastic chemistry in anything they do together.
My older pairings that I occasionally go back to are Spike/Buffy, Angel/Cordelia, Sam Carter/Jack O'Neill (evolved into Sam/everyone, particularly Vala and Teal'c), Alex Cabot/everyone, Lorelai Gilmore/Luke Danes, Callie Torres/Erica Hahn, any configuration of Catherine Willows/Sara Sidle/Sofia Curtis/Lady Heather/Wendy Simms, Barbara Gordon/Helena Kyle, and more.
I loathe cutesy portmanteau nicknames.
