Finally working on my own story, so I might as well fill this out.
I started off making this account so I could comment, review, and also get some feedback from the authors of said works while I try to be helpful, but I end up rustling some jimmies at times, so sorry about that. Be free to do the same for me!
Not much to really put down at the moment other than that my first work is a fairly easy one. It's a way for me to test the waters in prologue form. The work itself is a simple novelization of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. So here's for the best, cheers!
I'm twenty-four, single, and like videogames, and long Pina Coladas. (get the joke?)
That being said, I don't really have a favorite type of fanfiction. Books to obscure television shows is up for grabs with me, though I am more than a tad picky.
My Current Stories and thoughts about them...
Rise of a Hero: Well, this is my first story and I thought I would take a easier route with it then most as a bit of a warm up and to knock the rust off of my fingers and creative brain centers as it were. It's basically my "novelization" of the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. I'm also going to add a bit of backstory as to why my Dovahkiin being an Imperial (instead of the canonical Nord)is coming to Skyrim and how he is caught and make him a bit less of a voiceless and faceless figure who occasionally breaks open a can of whup ass.
Like in Morrowind and Oblivion, Dreams and visions are going to be a driving force for the beginning. I might change the title though. It was kind of a snap decision there. I'm still working on details and the like, as well as the general feeling of the story. So straight third-person, Character POV narrative, or even first-person might make an appearance until I figure out how I want to write this.
So help my ambitious plan by reviewing, following, and offering advice if you got it. Though, don't be a troll, it's a good way of getting a firebolt to the face, and no one wants one of those. Just read one of my chapters. It's not a pretty way to go.
Status: On Hold! How long? Forever and a day. Mainly due to losing my mojo concerning the whole thing.
Maybe, who knows. If I get my stories and thoughts straight you might just find a lot more than one to read.
You know, I am a bit of a fan of Romance stories for the most part.
Anyone think that "Romeo and Juliet" is a tragic love story of star-crossed lovers? If you do, you are an idiot. It's satire on the whole genre during Shakespeare's era. Let me put it into perspective for those who are up to trying to defend the play with their shrieking cries of butthurt..
It's like if you go to a party today and meet some random person and had a good time without learning their name and posting some crap on Missed Connections area of Craig's List. and declaring your undying love to them or walking to her house and trying to hit them up through their window. If that doesn't get through your head or make you think.. "Then frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."and you and your sparkly vampires can go play with happy daggers and poison all day. Just leave me out of it.
So that being said. 99% of these types of stories get a big boot to the ass into the discard pile.
