Author has written 7 stories for Fairy Tail, and Akagami no Shirayukihime. Hello! So there isn't much to say about me... Currently, I am a graduate school student who wants to be a cancer researcher someday. I love FairyTail and Akagami no Shirayukihime; so far all my Fanfics are about those series. I have watched my fair share of anime though. I must admit that I like the ones with a bit of romance in them. My absolute favorite color is purple! I am (slowly) learning Japanese. I guess I'm relatively boring but whatever! Just read my stories people! To all my Followers/Favorites: Thank you so much for your patience with me! I know that I don't have an update schedule and I wish I could tell you that I will someday but I have to be honest both with you and with myself. I have a busy life outside of FanFiction. I use these stories as a creative outlet for my daydreams. Updating will be on a "whenever I have time" basis. I hope that you continue to read my little stories and let me know what you think! Oi! So with my time on this site (and my time stalking stories on this site) I have noticed that there aren't that many helpful reviews for stories. So just because I'm a helpful person, I thought of all the things I could do to make my reviews more helpful to both the author and the people who might read reviews to decide if the story is worth reading. And continuing with the helpfulness thing I decided to post my tips on my profile! I don't mean this to be insulting and if you take it as such I can only think maybe you have some guilt on your mind that you should take care of. First! The purpose of reviewing anything is to put up your opinion about said thing you are reviewing. So make it good! This is your chance to tell the author/readers what you liked/disliked about the chapter. So please, be honest! I must be cruel only to be kind. This is a line from Shakespeare's Hamlet. Basically, don't be afraid to say negative things about somebody's work. Make sure if you have something to say that you phrase it in a kind and polite way. Please don't tell me my chapter was amazing and perfect if you think there is something that could make it better. I am pretty sure most people on this site want to become better writers and so your reviews are essential in making that happen! And to the writers out there, don't take offense to one tiny little critique of your work! If you don't agree, you don't have to change anything! It's your intellectual property, do what you want with it! No more one-liners! They don't help. I'm just gonna put it out there. If you really don't have more than a one word opinion about a chapter I don't think you need to bother writing a review. If you really wanna let that author know, just PM them! If you're gonna take the time to review you should put down a full thought or opinion that comes from the heart! I, for one, really wanna know what you think! I want to be able to connect with my readers and learn what they like and don't like. I can't do that with just a one word review. Flames burn. Bashing leaves bruises. So just don't do it. If you really hated a story that you read, please just click the little "back" button at the top left corner of your screen. You don't have to insult the author. For some, stories are equivalent to babies and it hurts when you just insult the hell out of the author or the stories. We have some young writers on this site that may not be as far along as you when it comes to overall skill at writing and grammar. You aren't helping when you just insult them. If you want to help, gently offer advice in a polite way and don't offer 25 suggestions at once. Just put forth one or two ideas for how to better their writing. You don't have to be mean! Grammar Nazis are annoying. Don't correct every little thing! Geez! I don't know how many times this has happened to me in life in general but I HATE it! Nobody is perfect 100 percent of the time! I understand if it is a huge problem or if the person is not using any punctuation or capitalization but please don't mention every little comma or semicolon they get wrong! Imperfections are what make life beautiful. And there you have it! My note on reviewing! I will add more to this if I think of anything else but I hope this helped some of you! I know I will use it when I am writing reviews for chapters and stories! And if you are an author reading a review please don't take anything people say personally. Reviews are objective, they shouldn't be insulting and any that are should be ignored. Also, if you have a few people that review every single chapter you post on a story I think it's cool how some people do shout outs to those reviewers. I am going to try to start doing that on my stories! Loyalty like that deserves credit! CC22 |
