I'm a reader. Full stop. I've spent the majority of my life immersed in words.

I do sometimes get bitten by this insane desire to write. If the story is compelling enough and I can see enough of it play out in my head, I will take the time to write it. Things I write (or imagine) tend to be plot heavy romances.

I will not post an incomplete work. If it's being posted here, it's finished on my hard drive. I'm also not tied to a single fandom. My first 'full' story was SoA, but the second one (that I've now finished) is based off of a book series (Janet Evanovich ... it's a Merry Men/Steph pairing).

Fandoms/ships and all that jazz. Versatility is key. I read a lot of different fandoms and I enjoy a lot of different couples. I couldn't care less if they're straight, slash, or femslash (or hell poly). I like real relationships, but I'm not a huge fan of that soul sucking angst that is prevalent in say Twilight fiction with Edward and Bella stories (omg stop glaring, it was just an example). On the other hand, nauseatingly sweet fluff that is basically flowery hearts and cooing doves makes me want to stab myself in the eye. Balance people, balance.

In the event that someone tattles on my more explicit scenes, I do have an account on AO3 under MidwestJen. I haven't uploaded anything yet, but at least I have the same name.
