Author has written 6 stories for One Life To Live, Flashpoint, and Rookie Blue.
I have been writing for years, both FanFiction and my own personal stories, but have never shared my work with anyone. Recently I started really missing one of my favorite soaps, One Life to Live (darn you, ABC!) - in my quest to find whatever clips and write-ups I could to relive the glory days, I found the wonderful stories on this site and decided that it was time to put some of my own out there.
Most of the stories I have put together are Natalie-based, as she has long been one of my favorite characters on the show, and my Natalie stories generally lean toward the Jolie (John/Natalie) pairing. I know there are those who dislike either Natalie or this pairing - if you're one of them, feel free to pass over those stories, because while I welcome constructive criticism regarding my writing, I will not tolerate the character bashing I've seen in the past.
My OLTL stories (both published and planned):
Back to You: John knows he'll need to fight to earn his way back to his family after kissing Sam. As her anger fades, Natalie's heart is telling her to fight for the same thing. In traditional soap fashion, though, nothing is ever that easy - and when tragedy strikes, the decision may just be taken out of their hands entirely. [Complete]
Dear John: "If you care about Liam..." The second John read those words, he should have known - Natalie might question his loyalty to her, but never to their son. If he'd put his pride aside long enough to think, he might have suspected something else was going on. By the time he does, will it be too late for his family? [Complete]
Missing Pieces: When Natalie arrived in Llanview, she thought she'd found the life and the family she had always dreamed of having. By the time she left a year and a half later, those dreams - and her spirit - appeared shattered. Twenty five years later, another fiery redhead arrives in Llanview to shake things up and put the pieces of those dreams together again. [In Progress]
Her Mother's Daughter: Every little girl wants to be just like her mother, even when she's not quite a little girl anymore - and even though Natalie Buchanan grew up worlds removed from her mother, she was no exception to that rule. She'd never imagined her wish would fulfill itself in quite this way, though. Now, she'll need all the strength she inherited from both the Lord and Buchanan sides of her family to survive her biggest challenge yet. [In Progress]
The Twin Connection: Jessica Buchanan was raised in luxury in Llanview; Natalie Balsom grew up neglected and poor in Atlantic City. A series of moments from their lives showing that there may be more shared between them than just DNA. [In Planning Stages]
Unraveling: The fight in Angel Square left Natalie with more damage than a neck brace and a few bruises. In a moment when she needs her family more than ever, she finds herself alone. In that moment, Natalie finds that her reality has become too much to live with and decides it's time for a clean break. [In Planning Stages]
My Rookie Blue stories (both published and planned):
Outside Looking In: He'd always heard that getting shot in the line of duty changed your perspective on everything. Until that moment, Sam Swarek never quite understood what that could mean. There was no doubt in his mind that he was going to be changed by what was happened - he just wasn't sure he was going to survive long enough for it matter. Starts 4x13, based on promos. [In Progress]
The End of My Story: An alternate version of 4x13, in which Kevin Ford stays at the church to ambush the SWAT team. Oliver's squad isn't in the parking lot when Sam leaves the station, and Andy can't stop him before he gets in his truck and drives away. Exactly how serious was he when he said he couldn't be there with her? Would he really walk away from everything just to keep from interfering with her happiness? And could she truly be happy without him around? [In Planning Stages]
My Flashpoint story:
Unexpected: A year after ending their relationship for the sake of her job, she still missed him every night, but Jules was doing her best to move on after breaking up with Sam. When fate throws an unexpected twist into her path, it leads her in directions she never could have imagined...when all is said and done, after the dust settles, will it be too late for destiny to lead her back to the only man she ever truly loved? [In Progress]
