Author has written 8 stories for Gabriel Knight, Final Fantasy VIII, Inuyasha, Final Fantasy XII, and Jak and Daxter.
I'm a married woman, college educated, have a cat and a son, and am a para-professional librarian.
For the curious, here's a brief rundown on my work:
The Barren Tree, my first effort at fanfiction. Originally written in and around May of 2001, this one is decidedly rough. I revised the beginning and ending before posting on this site, but I had a difficult time rereading it to do more extensive revisions. I'm glad that a couple of people have found it good, but I'll always know that it could have been better.
Final Fantasy VIII
A Sudden Squall was just a little ficlet that wouldn't go away. The pun came to me, but I knew it was darker than that, in keeping with his character.
A Surprise Guest came from a little notion that hit me after reading too many everybody-wants-Squall fics. I profusely apologize for that, but I figure that if I'm making myself laugh, I must be doing something right. For those who didn't figure it out, it takes place in the two days following the final scene of the game.
Making a Choice was born after a reviewer commented on the ending of A Surprise Guest. There was a shift from less humor to more romance, but I think I still managed to keep a healthy dose of ridiculousness.
At the end of Making a Choice I promised a Seifer fic, and I hope that will still happen. Someday.
Wicked Game is the product of my new obsession with dog-boy. It's titled (if you couldn't guess) after the Chris Isaak song and, I hope, portrays a realistic version of the betrayed priestess. I only hope I managed to convey everything I wanted to with it.
Final Fantasy XII
Interstices is the story of the spaces between thought and action.
1. Innocence: Balthier saves a boy he has no reason to care about.
2. Smile: Penelo isn't quite what she seems.
Jak and Daxter
Superpower came about during a replay of Jak II. While just standing still so I could listen to some of the Praxis-babble, I was watching Jak and Daxter interact. Somewhere between the bit where they make mean faces at each other until Jak loses it and the bit where Daxter jumps on Jak's head then skitters all over his body while Jak tries to slap him, this idea was born.
Pretty Boy is the frustrated brainchild of having died too many times on the sewer mission to get the Heart of Mar gem. Fifteen or twenty times of walking in to hear Jinx say, "Shut up. Here comes Pretty Boy," just made me want to fill in what they were talking about.
