I started writing fan fics about 15 years ago, though most of those early stories were not fit to publish (nor was the internet as easily accessible for it at the time). A few of my older stories on here are ones that I leave only to remind myself of where I started, so if you see something published pre-2007, it's probably in that category. Except the Animorphs story. I still like that one pretty well, because I think it's a decent imitation of the feel of the source material, which is what I was trying to do. The others, well...

I've been reading Harry Potter since 2000 and the fan fics since early 2007. The Harry Potter fandom was the thing that brought me back to fan fiction after a hiatus of about five years where I attempted to write only original fiction. Now I do both, and I find that my muse likes me better for it. I'm happier when I have dozens of projects going at once.

I read a pretty broad spectrum of stories and ships. I started in strictly canon ships, migrated into Hermione/Weasley stories, then expanded well beyond that. A well-written story will get me every time, even if the characters aren't ones I typically read.

(For anyone wondering, yes, I do plan to finish my ongoing stories. My Muse just isn't cooperating with me right now, so I'm trying to just keep him happy till he gives me what I want.)

I'm also a big fan of Tin Man fics (particularly Cain/DG), so don't be surprised if one of those crops up around here eventually.
