Hello, fellow readers and writers!
Okay, so I like to learn a little bit about other authors, so I'll tell you a little bit about myself.
First and Foremost:
All of us are sinners because we have broken God's law, which says to love God and to love others. Because we have broken God's law, we deserve to go to hell. Why does God have to punish us for our sins, you might ask? You see, one of God's characteristics is that He is holy, so He cannot allow sin in His presence. God is also just, which means He cannot allow sin to go unpunished. Do you think He would be just if He let us get away with our sins? Would a judge be just if he let a lawbreaker go free with no penalty?
Sin has to be paid for. But God loves us so much that He made a way for our sins to be paid for without having us go to hell. Christ came to earth, lived a perfect life, died as a sacrifice for our sins, and rose from the dead. Because Christ took our punishment upon Himself, we can be forgiven of our sins and allowed to be with God in heaven forever. God will forgive anyone of all their sins if they ask Him to, no matter how badly they may have messed up.
"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:37-40)
"As it is written: 'There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God." (Romans 3:10-11)
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
"Say to them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways!...'" (Ezekiel 33:11)
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)
My job as a Christian isn't to force you to believe what I believe. My job is to simply make sure you know about Christ and that He is the only way to be saved. Whether or not you receive Him as your Lord and Savior is your choice.
Keep in mind, however, that if you reject Him, you will spend an eternity in hell with absolutely no relief or comfort. Please, choose Jesus! You desperately need Him!
If you would like to be saved, you can pray something like this:
And don't be afraid of God taking control of your life. He's far more interested in you than you are of yourself. The Christian life is tough, but He's not plotting to make your life miserable. Rather, He has a special plan and purpose for you!
"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
God won't reject anyone who chooses to put their trust in Him!
In John 6:37, Jesus says, "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away."
"And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved..." (Joel 2:32)
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)
If you have any questions about Christianity, feel free to ask. :)
For those of you who are already Christians, do you ever doubt if you are saved? Here's one way you know if you are: you keep God's commandments.
1 John 2:3-6 says, "We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, 'I know him,' but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did."
If you love the Lord, you will keep His commandments. Not kept; keep. Of course, Christians will still always sin and mess up, but they don't continually and purposely live a sinful lifestyle. Now, I'm not saying that "obeying the rules" saves you. The most important thing to remember is that Christ is the One who does the saving. He paid the penalty for sins, gives you the free gift of salvation, and will never take it away from you. You obey Him because the Holy Spirit lives in you and enables you to do so. More often than not, wanting to be sure that you're saved and being concerned about others' salvation are more indications of being saved, as well. And remember that you can always talk to God about your doubts.
Also, if you are a Christian, you will know God. Have a relationship with Him, I mean. Continually pray to Him and read the Bible.
Reading the Bible is very important because it is the truth you need to know. It is God's way of speaking to us. If you haven't been reading it, try starting at the Gospel of John. If you don't own one, try going to BibleGateway.com. Or you can download the Bible App on your phone. Or you can go to a bookstore and get one there.

"What's wrong with the youth of today? That they can't express themselves through words? You know, when I was pillaging villages in my youth, we had the decency to not just yell at people but to say "Hey, we're pillaging and plundering your village." -Gildar
