Author has written 1 story for Tetris.

Greetings to one and all. I go by the name of The Artisan here, because in the end, that is what all authors are in one way or another...artists in search of personality reality, and interaction, through storytelling, with the minds of others. In other worlds I've gone with other names, but that not so important.

To get right to the point, I believe in stories and material that make one stop and think, so long as they have a mind to think with. If they don't (and indeed, some exist that way), I believe in the material passing right over their heads. This may be accused of as being elitist, but it isn't. It isrequiring of the reader to stretch their mind, stretch their preceptions, and desire something deeper than the ActionActionAction mindset that our world (Western world, anyway) now seems to demand...kind of like a drug high, that way. If people see this higher thought, this deeper consideration of things, as a waste of their time, so much the better. I've angered a Philistine, I suppose.

Take the most mundane existence you can imagine, take the sweetest and most cuddly environment you can fathom. Then turn it on its head; show the deeper aspects to things you thought were mere "escapist" lands, and the struggles and fighting and anger and more that characters within are suddenly revealed as feeling. Explore the bloodthirsty side of cuddly; study the viciousness of gentleness; look at the reality of so many 'friendly' forces trying to dominate and control others, in their own way, just as much as the supposed 'villains' of those same tales...and you have an idea of the kind of material I like, and intend to write. Allow truly Good beings to exist in those tales, but show them as they are: hated, laughed at, misunderstood, despised and more, rarely receiving the reward from any mortal force that they do indeed deserve. Show Evil as the cuddly materials hate to show it: horrific, frightening, murderous, vengeful, sickening; and alluring; and seductive. So very bad, but attractive to fall under the sway of. Show the world upside down, when those are worlds that are supposed to tell people "Oh, it's not so bad, it's not so dangerous, it's not so scary and exciting. Everything can be calm, everything can be okay..."

Begins to runlike the droning of a totalitarianist propaganda program, doesn't it?
