I live in the U.S. I may have issues with the politics going on, but I still love the land. I love writing and music. FYI...I WILL and DO block users when they attempt to get me to go to ANY site to supposedly look at pictures of old movie stars. I will also do the same to anyone claiming they 'just want to talk' and then give me some sob story of physical illness (which, I do research on and find it they're feeding me a line) I now also moderate reviews simply because while I can handle constructive criticism; I don't appreciate people reading FF and not knowing what 'My OC means' and then either publicly, or privately, chew me out for having a character that was never on the show/in the book (HELLO...OC means Original Character ...in other words it's a character of MY (or whoever is writing) creation). Also, like I said..I can understand criticism, but when I feel there is no balance to it that is not fair to ANY writer.,. Especially when there are those of us attempting to hone our writing skills through Fan Fiction. * There is NO need to assume things about the writer. Most of us are not attempting to make a living off our writing. If you want that level of writing, here is a kindly suggestion...Go pay for it. Deleting MOST of my stories non P&P related. And for those new to FF PLEASE learn what OC means BEFORE chewing someone out for using them. And YES, I consider my writing FAN FICTION. 11/14/2023 I have a new pet peeve: readers who did not read the notes and then do not sign in and complain about something the note already explains. I am more than happy to have history lessons; I simply appreciate them more when someone signs in so I (the student) has a way of communicating with the reader (Teacher) without being expected to do it publicly via me having to leave a review on my own story. For the reader's information... When I write for Pride and Prejudice I do NOT write off any MODERN versions. Mine are LOOSELY based off the ORIGINAL works of Jane Austen. Ex. Darcy is usually reserved...however, I have Thomas having learned from life and he is far less sarcastic and when his humor comes out it is far less mean.
