Author has written 9 stories for Doctor Who, and Stargate: Atlantis.
I'm Laura and I love computers, science and science-fiction, reading, writing and roleplaying. As you can tell from my fics and favourites, I tend to be most interested in the villains, especially when they're never given a chance by the narrative despite being merely non-humans who do the same to humans as humans do to other species, like the Wraith, or victims themselves of their own misguided brainwashing, like Daleks. I'm a sucker for redemption stories, especially when they do not revolve around the villain becoming human, physically or metaphorically. I do not believe in evil by nature!
Also I'm French, so please don't hesitate to point out grammatical mistakes in my fics!
I love roleplaying and I'm currently involved in three forums:
My stories are also available on my personal site: http:// www. Espezon. org/SF/fanfic/
I've written two main series, which are independent from each other. As you can notice, I love Daleks. They can and should be so much more than generic repetitive bland enemies! If you wonder why, read this thoughtful article on the narrative meaning of the Daleks. You'll never see them the same afterwards...
You can find more stories doing them justice, either as antagonists, victims or sometimes both, in my community for stories with developed Dalek characters.

Doctor Who has such a long history, chances are no two given fans enjoy the same things. Here's an overview of my tastes to give you an idea of where I stand.
My favourite Doctors are the 9th, the 4th and the 2nd (although the over-emphasis on the 4th, as if he were the only classic Doctor ever worth mentioning, irks me so much he tends to fall behind the 2nd for me now). I also love, albeit a bit less, the 6th, 7th and 8th. At the other end of the scale, I hate the 11th and find the 5th dull and just boring.
My favourite companions are Donna, Liz Shaw, Barbara and Ace. Conversely, I find Ben and Polly to be the worst ever, and I don't like Mel, Turlought, Leela, Susan and to a lesser extent, Jo and Peri. I can't stand River either, but she doesn't travel full-time enough for me to call her a companion.
My favourite enemies are of course the Daleks! I also love the Rani, the Great Intelligence in its classic version, the Rutans, as well as Time Lord antagonists in general: Omega, the Master, the Monk, Borussa... They are overwhelmingly classic enemies, even if some have been reintroduced successfully. The new series just hasn't been as good with creating new compelling villains.
It's hard to pick my favourite classic stories because there are so many I love. If I had to choose only a handful, this is what I'd go with I guess: The Power of the Daleks, The War Games, The Aztecs, Inferno, Invasion of the Dinosaurs... But really, the Second Doctor's run has a particular concentration of episodes I love, and to a lesser extent the Third Doctor's run. Listing my favourite new series episodes is much easier: Dalek, Father's Day, Turn Left, The Waters of Mars, The Long Game and Planet of the Ood.
I used to be a big Stargate Atlantis fan. I've reposted here old fanfictions of mine and hope you enjoy them, but I probably won't be writing any more in the future. As of now, Of Wraith and Men can be considered on permanent hiatus, since my motivation basically died with the show itself. I might find my inspiration back someday, but it won't be anytime soon.
