Author has written 30 stories for Battle of the Planets, Full House, Big Bang Theory, Star Wars, M*A*S*H, and CSI: Miami.
I started creating fanfiction in my head when I was nine, long before I knew there was a name for what I was doing. My stories were all centered around Jason from Battle of the Planets because I just knew something was seriously wrong with him after "Strike at Spectra," no matter what lies Zark threw at us. (Only later did I find the original anime Gatchaman, where I learned that Joe had *died.* This was not a happy moment in my life. Even when I found out he was resurrected as a cyborg.) About 15 years ago, I started writing down my stories in reaction to the stress of starting graduate school. Most of my BotP stories are posted at the Gatchaman Fanfic Archive, although I am slowly migrating them over here as well.
I never intended to join any other fandoms, but since I first landed here, I've begun to write Full House and The Big Bang Theory fanfiction, and I've got a Wings story in my head that I haven't quite committed to paper yet. I tend to write fanfiction in bursts - usually when I'm under a lot of stress and should be doing something else. It's a nice form of escape.
Recently, I've started re-watching the Star Wars movies with my husband and kids. My young daughter likes Princess Leia, and I'm happy to see her admiring a tough princess who can rescue a prince with her blaster. I am seriously considering crossing Battle of the Planets with Star Wars - you have been warned! - so many fun possibilities there.
I tend to write hurt/comfort and angst. I also gravitate toward giving my characters vision problems, or further explaining problems they seem to have in canon.
My interest in all things eye led me to reading CSI: Miami fanfic centered around the episode "Nailed." I don't quite know what happened, but reading CSIM fanfiction led to me watching the show. I started in the middle of season 4 and somehow, I am now up to season 7 (although I have cheated and watched a few from future seasons) and I have now written a handful of Ryan-centric stories. I think the show is ridiculous and cheesy at times, but I love the cinematography and I am crazy about most of the characters. Alexx and Walter in particular deserved more screen time, and - no offense to Eric - I am one of those rare fans of Jake. Obviously, I am also a big Ryan/Natalia (RaiN, Boa Wolfe, what have you) shipper.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy my stories. :)
P.S. Han shot first.
SPECIAL NOTE: (7/18/15): For those of you following my unfinished CSI: Miami or Star Wars stories, I am sorry it is taking me so long to update. My life is a bit hectic at the moment. Thanks for your patience and thanks for reading my work.
