  • Well, it seems you've somehow found your way to my profile page. If it was an accident, then I strongly suggest closing this window immediately and taking a few precautionary steps from your computer.

If, however, for whatever reason, you came here to learn a little something about who I am and what I write, then by all means, continue reading.

My name is Anna, but I have had many nicknames throughout my life, including Radiohead, Spongebob, Frankenstein, Ana, Annie, Anne, Mycroft, and Clean Your Room. I prefer Oh Great Master of the Universe, but for some reason that never caught on.

Anyway, besides my name, here are a few more things you might want to know. I'm a high school student who is waiting to grow up and move VERY far away. My hobbies other than writing include acting, singing, filmmaking, playing piano and guitar and ukulele, editing, fangirling, procrastinating, and spontaneously crying about fictional characters.

I spend most of my time alone on my computer, but that doesn't mean I'm a hermit and it also doesn't mean I hate everyone, although I hate quite a few people. I love big cities, peanut butter, drinking tea, bananas, and lying in the middle of the floor. I'm sarcastic and I can't stand people who take everything seriously. I always look at the ceilings of places. I'm pretty short, but I'm also not one of those people who stresses about it. If you trip over me on the street or elbow me in the face, I'll probably forgive you. Probably.

I'm reverse color blind. I can't see things that aren't colors. I don't understand biology, or imaginary numbers, and it drives me crazy how everybody stares at you when you blow your nose during class. I blush a lot, and not in a cute way. I'm awkward (what a surprise) and my favorite animal is a chicken. I always cry at movies, especially when they're not sad. My favorite color is green and don't ask me to tell you why because I have no idea. I obsess over things. I force others to obsess over things. My idols are Natalie Tran (Baby, I know) and Catherine Tate, and I ain't bovvered. I love inside jokes, and deducing things, and taking long walks. I hate writing essays and I live life to live life.

I want to make people laugh. Laughing is beautiful. You don't truly know a person until you've laughed together. And if you're one of those tough people who thinks laughing is stupid and smiling contorts the face, I advise you to stop being a smart aleck and come to your senses, because let's face it: how utterly boring would life be if nobody laughed?

    On Books:

Tom Holt, a british author and the coolest person I don't know is my inspiration and my soul animal. His Portable Door series made me laugh, scream, groan and cry, all in between class periods. (I got some funny looks.) However, I also love Jane Austen (especially Pride and Prejudice and Emma), Harry Potter, Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism, Al Capone Does My Shirts, Life of Pi, One More Thing by B.J. Novak, and funny romance novels.

    On Music:

If you don't like music, you're probably dead, or getting there. My favorite band is The White Stripes, and I hate that I never got to see them live. Jack White is a genius. I also love any song that makes me feel happy or powerful, and I would also prefer it if they used real instruments and voices to do so. Going to a concert is my all-time favorite way to spend a weekend, especially one so loud you confuse the bass with your heartbeat. I make playlists for books and experiences and anything else I can.

My favorite song is "Fell in Love with a Girl" by The White Stripes.

It's a long and lengthy list, but I highly recommend checking out any of all of these: Walk The Moon, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, Imagine Dragons, Hello Goodbye, The Leagues, Andrew Belle, Kate Nash, The Neighbourhood, The XX, The Shins, Foals, The Killers, The Vaccines, Gotye, Magic Man, Apartment, The Beatles, Beirut, Florence The Machine, Cream, Hall & Oates, Dashboard Confessional, The Drifters, Foster The People, Jet, The Kooks, Led Zeppelin, The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Muse, Phoenix, The Smiths, The Strokes, Tears For Fears, U2, The Veils, The Walkmen, White Lies, Wolfmother.

    On Movies:

Movies are, well, movies. It's really impossible to describe all of them as a whole, but I can name some of my favorites. Inception, The Matrix, Return of the King, Spider-Man 2, To Kill A Mockingbird, Young Frankenstein, Edward Scissorhands, Glory, Sweeney Todd, Pirates of the Carribean, Clueless, Mean Girls, Pitch Perfect, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Airplane, Harry Potter 7 Pt. 2, and Just Like Heaven (I know, don't judge me).

    On TV Shows:

I watch so much TV I'm not exactly sure where to begin. Netflix probably hates me now, and I can't blame it, after I've harrassed it so many times. So here goes, the ones Netflix hates me for: Sherlock, Doctor Who, The X Files, Psych, New Girl, Haven, The Mentalist, The Nanny, The Big Bang Theory, The Mindy Project, Bates Motel, How I Met Your Mother, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, My So-Called Life, Red Dwarf. Also, any Youtube series that somehow relates to Bernie Su.

My ex-favorite shows, or shows I sometimes watch but aren't that obsessed with are NCIS: LA, Orphan Black, Bones, Awkward, Beauty and the Beast, Community, Faking It, Complete Works, and Melissa and Joey.

The sad thing is I'm probably forgetting most of them. You can decide for yourself whether or not you think that's healthy.

    On How I Write:

I write like I fall asleep, slowly then all at once.

Writing is my greatest strength and my biggest fault. We have a love-hate relationship. I love to write comedy, but there are times when laughing just won't do, and I'm prepared for that as well.

The truth is that I write because I have to. If I stopped, the world would probably implode or something. That or I'd be really bored. I've scrapped so many stories and ideas that it's hard to keep track. But for some reason, I never give up and I never get frustrated. I just start again. Mostly I just love riding the wave and seeing where it takes me. And even if I'm riding waves for the rest of my life, at least I can say that I kept going.

And that's pretty much who I am. Small, shy, snarky, hopeless, and loving it. And if you actually read every word of this profile, I congratulate you, because you have some serious stamina.

Remember to laugh. Laughing is good.

    Hope you enjoy my fanfictions!
