Author has written 22 stories for Harry Potter. Who am I? Good question; not sure I know the answer. I'm married to an amazing woman. Yes, I'm also female. Yes, that means what you think it does. Deal with it how you must. I'm a voracious reader. I love fantasy/adventure like Lord of the Rings. My favorite characters are female heroines. As JKR wrote her, I think Hermione is a bigger hero than Ron or Harry. Just my opinion, please don't flame me. I only write fanfics for Harry Potter. I love the world JKR created. I am not a fan of books 6 and 7. I like aspects of them, but as a whole am not enamored. Therefore, my fics are either AU from the very beginning, or they follow cannon through book five and go AU from that point. I am currently posting, Are You Going to Kiss Me or Not? It will be 21 chapters long. I have two other stories in the works. One is near complete, and is rather epic in length. I've been at it for 5 years, and is approaching 500,000 words. It is an after Hogwarts setting that will follow cannon, with a few minor changes, through book five before going AU. The other story is just begun. It will be a reworking of years 6 and 7 and is in the outline stage. I previously wrote under a different penname for a different site, but have decided to move to fanfiction.net for my new works. Once I finish posting, Kiss Me or Not, I will begin posting my old work from my old site. These stories are my first forays into writing. Some are better than others, and can, at times, make me cringe with the thought that I would never do that now. But they are who I was and I will not rework them before posting... I think most of you will forgive me. All told, between old and new writing, provided I can keep up the pace of my prose production, it should be enough to provide a chapter or two a week for well over a year. I do also have an original work that is a planned three book trilogy. Book one is nearing completion. And once I'm ready I will probably e-publish. You all will be the first to know. Anyway, that's about all for now. Hope you enjoy the ride. I know I'm looking forward to it. Elle aka: Sorcerer's Muse I suppose I should have expected this as my old work is going up. It was a very different life and more than five years since I said I was done with fan fiction. Now I'm back writing again. I'm on a new site with a new penname. A simple google search of the titles of my old work will direct you to and the penname of huskers. So, I might as well say that yes, I use to post on under the penname of huskers. Please read the bio there that directs you to find any new work as well as my old work on my new site, fanfiction.net under the new penname of Sorcerer's Muse. Yes, I am one in the same. If you have any doubts that I am the same person and that all the work posted on fanfiction.net is indeed mine, please go to . Look up huskers' page and send an email with an appropriate code word of your choosing. I will then post that code word on my profile at fanfiction.net to prove that I am the same person. Note, I will not post anything vulgar or innappropriate. As always, thank you for reading my work. Sorcerer's Muse 12-26-2012 an update. I've closed out chapter 46 of my next work! Finally, the big battle and immediate aftermath is done. Just a few chapters of clean up and epilogue to write, one last read through to make sure it all works and it will be ready to post! Soon, very soon. I can hardly wait. 1-14-2013 I'm half way through the final edit of my soon to be posted new Harry Potter fan fiction work. We're up to chapter 23 and 175,000 words! Sorcerer's Muse My posted works. A Promise Kept: Old work number one. Re-posted from my old site this will not be edited again and is bit rough at times. This was my first attempt at any creative writing endeavor of any kind. I'm still quite pleased with the image it creates. Perhaps some day I will post a prequel of sorts show where and when Ginny makes her promise to Harry's mother. Harry Potter and the Blood Traitor: Old work number two. Re-posted from my old site this will not be edited again and is bit rough at times. My version of year six at Hogwarts. This was written before JKR published HBP. I was tired of waiting for it and thought I'd write my own. How hard could it be, right? Turns out the answer is. VERY! Harry Potter and the Unlocked Mind: Old work number three. Re-posted from my old site this will not be edited again and is bit rough at times. The Sequel to Harry Potter and the Blood Traitor. My version of year seven. Again this was written before JKR published HBP. The Magic of Muggle Sweets: Old work number four. Re-posted from my old site this will not be edited before it goes up here. This is a one-shot written for some challenge I can't remember the name of. It did fairly well in the voting, though I thought it should have done better. I am, of course, biased. Broken: Old work number five. I consider this story cannon compliant through Order of the Phoenix and alternate universe after that. It takes nothing from Half Blood Prince or Deathly Hallows into account. Also, it is designed more as a series of one-shots that capture a turning point in life. Sometimes months or even years might pass between chapters. It is up to the reader to fill those gaps in within the context of the story I provide. Suffice it to say I didn't write those empty spaces in the story because in my mind nothing really happens and in all honesty, it would have been boring as heck. Anyway, hope you enjoy what I did find essential to the story. Are You Going to Kiss me or Not: My most recently completed and I think best work to date. This is an alternate universe story where Harry never attended Hogwarts. For various reasons he and Ginny are both living pretty much as muggles and meet for the first time roughly ten years after the defeat of Voldemort. The story title is borrowed from the song, Are You Going to Kiss Me or Not, by the country music group, Thompson Square. Harry Potter and the Heir of Morgaine Le Faye: The story is alternate universe and is set approximately ten years after the fall of Voldemort. The story was originally conceived to be about 6 chapters and 25,000 words or so. In the end it took more than five years to write, is 47 chapters and more than 450,000 words in length. Hope you all enjoy. Children of the Flame Trilogy: An alternate reality that picks up around the Christmas Holidays of Harry's fifth year. I tried some new things here. Some worked, others maybe not so much. In the end, I was quite pleased with the results and take pride in having stretched myself as a writer. Some of what happens wasn't easy to do, but I did it. Harry Potter and the Muggles' Daughter: A pre Hogwarts volume that will be the first of eight books retelling the tale of Harry Potter. An exploration of the Many World's theory where changing one thing changes everything and at the same time changes nothing. HPMD sets the stage for a different Harry as he embarks on the journey of a lifetime. Rated M for language and later content. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: Book 2 of my Slytherin Harry series covering Harry's first year at Hogwarts. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Book 3 of my Slytherin Harry series covering Harry's second year at Hogwarts. Harry Potter and the Blood Traitor's Daugher: Book 4 of my Slytherin Harry series covering Harry's third year at Hogwarts. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Book 5 of my Slytherin Harry series covering Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts. Harry Potter: Flesh, Blood and Bone: Book 6 of my Slytherin Harry series covering Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts. The Trophy Room: Just a bit of H/G fluff unrelated to any of my other works. My Favorites: I'm very picky. Stories do not get added here easily. There is one, hard-fast, rule to any story on my favorites list. It MUST be complete. Anything you find there, in my opinion, is excellent. If you haven't read her work yet, Ashwinder is the author who hooked me on fan fiction. Her stories, Ginny's Gift and The Long Road Home, are the only novel length fan fics I have gone back and re-read. She is no longer writing fanfiction but her author page says she will have an original work published in Feb of 2013. I will be checking it out. 10/18/15 Well, I'm back with another HP story. It's not the one I expected to post, but I'm fairly happy with it anyway. It's called the Children of Fire Saga. There are three books to the story. The first one started today. It is called, Death's Daughter. So yeah, here we go again. 10/23/15 Wow, I'm busy here lately. Thought I'd put this bit on here for those interested in knowing my all time favorite fan fic. It is, Once Upon a Time, by Ashwinder. I can't not read it and every single time it rips a gaping hole in my gut. Actually, now I don't even have to get to the end. I know what's coming from the first word and it kills me because I know, despite my hoping it will somehow turn out different, it won't. 8/5/2016 Wow, been a while since I posted anything at all. Yes I'm still writing. My latest endeavor is an attempt to rewrite the whole series placing Harry in Slytherin. I've written a full book of before Hogwarts stuff to try and set the stage and am slogging my way through first year. About half done with it. I think that perhaps once I've completed first year I'll begin posting. We'll see. Other than that, I'm reading and adding to my H/G archive. If you've read something you think should be in it, let me know. 2/7/2017 My latest bit of news is that I've begun posting my newest work. I'm very excited about it and very nervous. I'm nervous because I still don't know if I can pull of a rewrite of the entire Harry Potter series. Book one, Harry Potter and the Muggles' Daughter, is up and completed. It's a pre Hogwarts story that leads into book two, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I'm currently posting on Philosopher's Stone, and writing on Prisoner of Azkaban. Two characters in particular are giving me fits, not wanting to cooperate with my plans. I'm not sure yet it they will win, or I will. Anyway, the plan is eight books total. Check it out. 9/4/2019 Well I'm back and just posted The Trophy Room. a bit of H/G fluff. Next week I'll begin posting Harry Potter; Flesh, Blood and Bone the sixth book of my Slytherin Harry series covering Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. |
