When I was eight years old, I did something that would change my life forever. I wrote my first fanfiction -- a gory angstfic for the Mario games -- without the knowledge of what a fanfiction even was. Even now, eight years later, I can still remember scribbling it down on a notecard during class time, folding it up and stuffing it in my bag, never once comprehending the magnitude of what I'd just done. (I also may have used it to pick my teeth later, but we won't speak of that.) On the bus, I read through it and a revelation hit me like one of my classmate's dodgeballs.
From that day on, I knew exactly what -- exactly who -- I wanted to be.
Also, a writer.
In 2012, when I was twelve, I found a website under the name of FanFiction.net after a reviewer on Amazon.com mentioned it in one of their book reviews. Of course, you have to be thirteen to join, so like the goody-two-shoes I was, I waited until my birthday came around that year to join and post my first fanfiction. And, man, was I excited. My teenage, hormone-riddled brain just KNEW that I was going to be the best writer ever.
There was just one problem.
I totally sucked at writing.
Now it's 2016, and a lot has changed since then. Through the years, I've really improved as a writer, and I owe a lot of that improvement to this site. I don't think I would've kept writing without all the lovely, encouraging reviews I've received. Even now, a lot of my writing is still kinda sucky at times, and looking back at my older works, I really cringe at what I used to think was acceptable to post on the Internet, but I've always been able to push forward thanks to the support I've been sent.
I'm aware that it's been a while since I've updated one of my stories, but I swear that I'm still around. (It's agreed with my friend that if I ever drop dead, she'll update my profile to let you guys know and also feed my fish.) I've been super busy with school and also with writing for Sherlock: The Game is On, but one of these days, I'll definitely post something new so those of you who know me can find it and say, "Hey, it's that author that used to be relevant back in 2014!" In the meantime, though, I'm temporarily shifting the focus to academics so I can pursue my dream: becoming an incredibly unfunny screenwriter.
One last thing. Thank you. Thank you for sticking around and reading through all my weirdness. Thank you if you've read this far. Thank you for tolerating my comma splices, my fragment sentences, my atrocious dialogue tags. It honestly astounds me that so many people have come to enjoy some of the random things I've written. And in the words of the Terminator: I'll be back.
If you're new to this page, and 39 stories seem like an awful lot to sift through, never fear! I've listed some of my most notable/popular works below.
Dear Whovian Authors (Doctor Who)
Falling (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Dysfunctional (Sherlock BBC)
• I strongly advise staying far, far away from anything I wrote in 2013. I've left some of my older fics up for nostalgic reasons, but they're (mostly) shockingly bad. If, for some reason, you read one of my old fics long ago and wish to read it again, send me a PM with the title or description and I'll send it.
