Thank you to everyone who has sent me letters of support and kindness since my hiatus announcement in January 2009. Your thoughts were very much appreciated and touching to me.

A lot of things have changed. I'm a different person now than I used to be. I've gotten involved in bigger things - though not necessarily better ones - and I'm sad to say that, at least for now, my career in fanfiction appears to be over.

Discovering and writing fanfiction has been one of the most important steps in my writing career. FFN has helped me learn many important things I needed to know to become a successful writer. How to take criticism, how to accept and consider other people's opinions, and how to create a well-rounded character are the foremost lessons.

Unfortunately, a good writer also knows when she is in over her head. She knows how to prioritize, no matter how painful it is to do so. So, here it is - me, admitting that I cannot do everything and still have everything. I'm writing a novel, going to school, and working. I also have a social life to uphold. Things being as they are, I have simply found I don't have enough time to write fanfiction anymore. That doesn't mean I'll never do so again. I believe fanfiction is something that stays with you forever, at least to a certain extent. I'm sure inspiration will strike again someday.

This is in no way goodbye. I will still be around the site and posting on the forums. However, I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has read and reviewed my stories. Each of you played a role in advancing my writing career and making me a better writer, which is for me the most important thing one could do. I'd also like to apologize to all of you for abandoning my fanfiction-writing so suddenly. It took me a long time, you see, to come to terms with not doing it anymore.

This does unfortunately mean that all of my fics are on indefinite hiatus. Again, sorry, especially to my loyal readers.

Life in Black and White (novel, not available on the web) - June 7th, 2008 - May 31st, 2010
Genre: Psychological drama/Mild horror
Life in Black and White is the first novel in my two-part original series following the everyday trials and tribulations of my mentally ill protagonist. The first book chronicles Gabriel's life from ages 5-16. This project has been in the works for nearly two years and counts over 300,000 words (Yes, I need to edit very badly). There will be a similarly-formatted sequel, which you can find below. You can find a full synopsis and more information on Life in Black and White by visiting my NaNoWriMo profile (web site above), however, because I plan on getting this work published when it's finished, it is not, nor will it be available anywhere on the Internet. The first draft of Life in Black in White was completed on May 31st, 2010. The next step is macrorevision, which will begin sometime in July 2010, after the dry month.

In-Progress

It's All Inside My Head (novel, not available on the web) - In preliminary planning phase
Genre: Psychological drama/Mild horror
Work-in-progress. The sequel and concluding volume to Life in Black and White. Currently in planning phase. It's All Inside My Head continues Gabriel's story, chronicling his life from ages 17-22. Like its predecessor, it is a novel in three parts. Gabriel attempts to maintain his recovery from borderline personality disorder in the midst of personal crisis and an ever-changing world, which is a lot harder than it sounds, really. Production will start in early June 2010.

Anyway...
