VERY PERSONAL NOTICE:

About six month's ago, I started a journey of self discovery. I had entertained the possibility that I was not straight, for a few months before this, but I only began to take it seriously then.

For several months, privately, in my mind, I was bisexual. Or maybe pan. I had convinced myself, that there was a chance I could be normal, I still could marry a guy, my family would never know, I would be fine.

But once December began, I started on tumblr. Wow. I learned so much, so quickly. I began to truly understand sexuality and how it works.

When Leelah Alcorn committed suicide, than was the final straw. I had to come out to myself, if I ever wanted a chance to be okay with it. So I did. And the I came out to tumblr.

And now to you guys.

I'm lesbian.

Leelah was the turning point, because I live in similar environment. A Christian, conservative, homophobic environment. Leelah death terrified and empowered me. I was afraid because I could be the next one, the scared little gay girl. But she made me come out to myself. I told myself I owned it to her. If she could come out to herself, let alone her parents, so could I.

I haven't come out to my parents yet. I don't plan to for a while either. I want to be in a more stable environment, possibly away at college when I do.

This leads me to my end point. I'm going to take some time off. It's really hard, but I hope you all will understand.
