The Who: Hello, and welcome, I am Ava Lydia Stoker. I have been writing for a long while (most of my life) and I like to fancy myself as being decent at it, but when you have been doing something since you were five years old you should be adept at it. I have found that writing is an exceptional form of escapism and some of the best therapy that you can have - the chance to live another life, be someone else, and create a new world - and that's the reason I write. I should mention that, as such, I do a lot of writing for myself. Things I would love to read or see. This doesn't mean that I don't write for others, but it's rare and I will often note it in the Author's Note.

Now, a lot of what I write is often a bit on the violent side. I feel like I should mention this as well because I know with a lot of recent events there's this whole mind-set that violence is bad and it should be noted. If something is extremely violent, I will often mention that in a warning, much like the stories that are of a slash nature (in which it isn't obvious in the description). Slash is something that I write a lot of, but it's a bit more for my own benefit than anything else. I do a lot of pairings and don't have a real "OTP" that I write for. If it's what I'm interested in doing, I will. If not, I will select another romance. Simple as that, but I do offer a wide variety so you're welcome to look around and find something that suits your own desires!

I would also like to take a moment and thank you for reading this and having a slight bit of interest in me and my writing. I welcome all reviews - good and bad - and am open to story ideas that you might be interested in seeing. Just message me and I'll see what I can do. I make no promises, though! I am very busy and while I might write a lot, I always try and focus on one or two novels at a whack. So, don't be upset if I don't use the idea you send. It isn't you, it's very much me! The Updates: This is, as you might have already figured out, where you will find updates on what I'm doing, writing, and thinking about. I don't know how often it will be updated, but I will include as much as I can about the stories I'm writing (or not writing, as the case might be). January 24th, 2013 - I made a minor update to the first chapter of The Science in the Alchemy to let you know that there is some fem-slash and slash in the novel. I should have marked that in the original draft, but I was trying to keep an edge and reveal it as it went, but as I have seen it's better to let you know ahead! Now, what I won't say is who lives, who dies, and who ends up how. That I won't say. But, I wanted to let you know there's a minor revision and the warning is up there. I don't know what chapters I'll be using it in or if there will be another (current one is the first), but it's there for a reason. Trust me! But now there's a warning. So, not out of the blue!

January 27th, 2013 - Well, I am now back to being "Lydia Stoker, Writer" as we return to our hiatus at work. This means I'll have more time to focus on my writing and I can update a bit more than I have - apologies for that - and roll on with what I'm doing. I hope you all have enjoyed the few diamonds in the rough I had found (two one-shots) and are liking the latest updates on The Science in the Alchemy as much as I am. I'm having a blast writing it and am currently writing the seventh - tenth chapters. I won't ruin it too much, but we are now drawing closer to Temperance and Seeley meeting and what that will mean! Good times, yes?

January 29th, 2013 - Despite the fact that I have the next three chapters of The Science in the Alchemy (Chapter Eight - Eleven) I believe I will take a bit of a rest in the updates. I would like to be about six to seven chapters ahead before I update the next this way if I feel like I'm running low or need something else to be written I'm not neglecting this one. So, you can expect the next dose in about two or three days. I also don't feel like I should be updating it as much or as often as I was the previous novel, Kiss the Girls, because I feel like that was kind of a rushed update situation - having done two or three a day. There was no time to really read it, take it in, and reflect upon it. I don't know how much sense that makes, but the long and short of it is I will be doing a chapter once every two or three days and a one-shot now and then.

February 1st, 2013 - Quick update...I'm not feeling too well so there won't be any updates until I'm better. I might update The Science in the Alchemybecause I am a bit ahead (this is the reason, you see), but I don't know for sure. I have also released the first of five Reyes and Scully fem-slash stories, the collection can be found in Velvet Tears and Satin Sheetsso there's that. I also have an idea for the next Bonesnovel I'll be writing. Though, I don't think it will be a continuation of the current. I love Jack the Ripper and Victorian London, but I don't think I have much else to say about that universe. No, this one will be set in the present and involve crop circles! Beyond that...no idea. It's kind of a brewing idea. I have also decided that I will be doing a novel based on Underworld set in that span between the second and fourth.

The Stories: As I'm sure you have already figured out this is where you will find story specific updates. You won't, however, find stories that have been completed. You might also find plot bunnies which may or may not come. Additionally, I will break down each novel/novella by fandom. Be sure to check back for updates!

Castle

Leather and Lace- Castle should have been careful when he decided to snoop through Beckett's drawers. He should have left some details in his own imagination. Now, he will discover that there are some lines that he shouldn't cross with her unless he's ready to deal with the consequences. [One shot; I'm in the process of writing this one and while it should be easy...it's almost as bad as pulling teeth for some reason! I should have this one up before the end of next week.]

The X-Files

Velvet Tears and Satin Sheets - The first one shot in this collection, Velvet Tears and Satin Sheets, is up. I am in the process of writing the other four, with The Sky is Brokenbeing the second. This one will be a bit more angst ridden. As I mentioned, there's no real consistency between them aside from the sexual nature of the relationship. I'm still trying to figure out the last three, though.
