PROFILE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Age: Irrelevant. Mid-20s.
Location: Does it really matter? Let's just say I live in a magical land of fantasy and adventure where ponies are evil. Close enough.
Current Major Fandoms for Reading/Writing: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.; Harry Potter; Buffyverse; Dragon Age Series; Mass Effect Series; The Vampire Diaries; The CW-DCTV Universe (Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl); Once Upon a Time
When I say that I ship something, It doesn't mean I think it is a healthy relationship or even that I want it to be canon - sometimes yes, not always. To ship something is to feel that there is an interesting story to be told in the relationship or the possibility of it. It doesn't mean I ship them in all ways and all circumstances either. Some ships I ship in certain specific AU contexts, or in a consciously dirtybadwrong sort of way.
Just because I like a character does not mean I forgive all their sins or will defend them from all attack. I like a character because they are interesting and entertaining. Sometimes they're a fun trainwreck, sometimes they're a nearly pure cinnamon roll - all depends on the character and often the context. I do always strive to understand and contextualize the actions and motivations of my favorite characters, however.
I have written (and may be writing still) several series, and it may not always be clear the order of them. So!
Iron Coin Chronicles: The reading order is Iron Coin of the Jester, Iron Coin Chronicles: Season 1, Iron Coin Chronicles: The Silent Summer and then it gets a little tricky - Iron Coin Chronicles: The Flip Side and Iron Coin Chronicles: Season 2 both happen concurrently, and can be read alternately or in one go, mostly. If you need to have read to a certain part of the one fic, I'll let you know in the author's notes. Forthcoming projects in this universe include, Iron Coin Chronicles: Silver Summer (Working Title), and Iron Coin Chronicles: Season 3.
Old Friends: The order is simple - Old Friends, and then Old Friends: A New Direction; I still hope to work on Old Friends: Return to L.A. at some point.
Different Choice: Also fairly simple reading order - A Different Choice, followed by Out of the Shadows and Into the Light. At the moment, the name for the Season 2b fic is still TBD.
Dead Man Walking: Starts with Dead Man Walking, goes to the abandoned fic Dead Man Walking in D.C. and then has the brief oneshot Dead Man Walking in Seacouver that nominally takes place after the D.C. one.
Lilah Morgan, Attorney At Law:The D.C. Office, An Offer Refused, A Simple Exchange of Favors.
The Lesser of a Whole Host of Evils: You Asked For This Meeting, Late Night Death Threats, Alright Gentlemen How Do We Kill Lash?, Well Someone Had To Be Nice, Talk To Me Grant.
The Maelstom Series: New City, Same Enemy, Tales from Oracle Securities. I have a planned third fic that may never be written, called Same City, New Enemy.
The Fics that I'm Actually Working On
Iron Coin Chronicles: Season 2: Set during BtVS Season 4. College has started up, Xander's looking for a semi-permenant post-high school job, and oh yea, the Forces of Fate aren't happy with Xander's changes to the world around him. With every change Xander makes, Fate changes things in response - will the Iron Coin be enough for Xander to avert Fate's plans for his friends? Or will Fate find new ways to achieve its ends? New Episode currently in progress.
Iron Coin Chronicles: The Flip Side: Follows the events of Angel the Series in a universe where Cordelia and Wesley never went to L.A. - that is, the Iron Coin universe. Envisions a surviving Doyle, ethnodemonologist Harriet Abrams (Formerly Harriet Doyle) being a part of the team, and a changed dynamic between Kate and Angel.
Battered Souls: My desire to write more Faith/Amy Fic created this. I figured, what if Amy had gotten help during her trip to Rock Bottom between her last appearance in Season 6 and her guest starring in Season 7. And what if Faith was the one to help her, deciding to give her the same chance that Angel gave her, a second chance? Add in Wesley as Faith's reappointed Watcher, and Charmed Ones, and you have a real party. A dialogue-heavy fic, and a lot of introspection. Themes of drug abuse and withdrawal are explored, though not with the depth some might.
Enough Good Left After All: Began as a 'what if years later after Season 2 Skye is on a team to apprehend the recently found Ward and her effort is interrupted by a little girl running up to him and calling him daddy'. The idea morphed into one exploring Kara as the POV character, an outsider looking in on Skyeward as she, Skye and Ward work together to rescue Ward's adopted daughter from Hydra. Slow-burn Skyeward and Kara & Ward friendship.
Out of the Shadows and Into the Light: A sequel to 'A Different Choice' exploring the changes caused by Ward not betraying the team at the end of Season 1, and how that effects Season 2a of AoS. Can Skye make sure no one else finds out Grant was Hydra? Can they stop Daniel Whitehall from obtaining the Obelisk? And what does Raina want in all of this? And what did she do with Skye's blood? Did she perfect G.H. 325? No ETA for another chapter.
Champion of the Inqusition: Because I had an idea that just wouldn't go away, and I'm always looking for that idiosyncratic fic that doesn't exist... because I haven't written it yet. Expect Updates infrequently and irregularly.
Fics on Hold or Hiatus
Jarl of Blackreach: Plot bunny that wouldn't die. A Skyrim fanfiction centering on the Dragonborn Kisyra and Serana, as they begin the long process of truly understanding the depths of Blackreach. Over time, the story will expand to be about a lot more than just one ruined Dwemer city, no matter how large. Currently on Effectively Permenant Hiatus. Technically Not Abandoned.
Exit Strategy: Lilah has always been my favorite villain in the Buffyverse, and when my muse started to demand some more Lilah, this idea floated to the top from several that I had that involved Lilah. I've always wondered what would have happened if Lilah had started to use her abilities for good (ish) mid-series, and often wondered what would have happened if Lindsey hadn't gone all 'evil hand' on everyone at that meeting. This way I get to explore both. Most definitely not abandoned, but on hold for the foreseeable future.
Ruins of My Kingdom to Come: Because I don't know how to shut my muse up. A crossover between Angel and Merlin, where Wesley and Illyria go back to the time of Merlin Season 2 during the events of Time Bomb. I'm going to kill two birds with one stone and 'fix' some things I didn't like about Season 2 while I'm at it. Also not abandoned, and I will come back to this at some point, I'm fairly sure.
Ledger Dripping Red: What if Grant Ward had been given the same chance Natasha Romanoff had gotten to make up for his mistakes, to try to wipe the red from his Ledger? What if Natasha Romanoff chose to give him that chance? LDR explores that question - the quest to better yourself and establish your own identity free from your brainwasher won't be easy, Ward, but with Romanoff's help... maybe. Eventual Skyeward. On back-burner while I deal with other AoS Fics.
A Whole New Tale: Kaila's Revenge: Started as a sequel to the Fourth Tale, but It quickly pestered out. While I had some broad strokes of ideas, in terms of what I wanted to do with the fic, I really didn't have much in the way of serious meat to put on the bones of the story, which left it kind of flopping around and gasping for breath. Plus, when I look back at both it and The Fourth Tale, I'm a little embarrassed at how bad the writing is. I may, someday, go in and rewrite TFT, but odds are I won't.
Starcraft II: The Rise of Umoja: Written in large part because I wanted to write a Starcraft fic, rather than because I had much of an idea. I had many partial ideas, actually, but the sheer lack of response admittedly depressed me. I've since moved on from it, and probably won't go back to it any time soon, if ever.
Dead Man Walking in D.C: The Sequel to Dead Man Waking. Wesley and Lilah go to D.C. to help NCIS deal with a case of the supernatural nature. Gibbs doesn't appreciate the intrusion from this 'International Watchers Council'. May or may not be permanently abandoned, but for all intents and purposes has been.
