Author has written 17 stories for Hunger Games, Mortal Engines Quartet, Series Of Unfortunate Events, and Harry Potter.

"You aren't a hero and I'm not beautiful and we probably won't live happily ever after. But we're alive and together, and everything's going to be all right."

- Hester Shaw, Mortal Engines (Philip Reeve)

Necessary Edit for 2018: After a three-year hiatus from this site (a small thing called university happened), I'm back and more excited to write than ever! Currently working on finishing off some of my older projects, most notably The Wizarding Games and 75 Games: Meet the Victors!

Salutations, people of the internet! This is Gamemaker97 speaking (kinda obvious, I know), and welcome to my profile! I've recently revamped it, so this probably looks a little different to what it did upon your last visit here. Unless, of course, this is the first time that you are visiting my profile, in which case, let me tell you a little about myself.

I'd call myself an avid reader, but I'm the sort of person who is content to read and re-read decent stories, and exploring them in their entirety before moving on to something new. Usually, this means a few works of fanfiction to further expand a book series, and I guess there are a few book series that I would consider myself quite the expert on.

I often also have an impulse to write as soon as I've finished reading, as was the case with the Hunger Games trilogy, which I first read in November 2012, and I have since become completely obsessed with it. As I'm sure many of you know, Hunger Games fanfiction is my major focus, as most of my 800,000 words that I've published have been about events set in fictional nation of Panem.

Aside from the Hunger Games, I write for several of my other favourite book series, although I'm sorry to say little other content ends up being published. Most of it ends up as an unfinished draft copy in a notebook somewhere or ends up being written so badly that I feel like the whole thing needs to be rewritten as soon as I've finished it. For a long time, this was the case with Harry Potter fanfiction, something I've been dabbling in since I was fourteen, and I'm now just beginning to feel confident enough to post HP fanfics on this site.

But times change, and I'm now devoting most of my time to writing for the Hunger Games Trilogy and Harry Potter, which are two of my favourite book series and also have plenty of scope for my own fanfics to still seem believable and in character where necessary. Hopefully.

But anyway, that's pretty much it. I'm just a British guy with an avid interest in reading and writing fanfiction.

Oh, in case I didn't mention, feel free to check out my works (listed below). You might enjoy some of them ;)

If anyone is interested in submitting a chapter for my two community projects, then here is information on how.

75 Games: After the Mockingjay

1) Write a chapter with a created victor of an unspecified Games (I will choose the year of the Games myself to fit with other chapters). Aim for 1,000 words. Most of my own chapters are between 1,200 and 1,800 words long.

2) As with chapters in '75 Games, 75 Victors, 75 Oneshots', a song reference will be used. Choose your own song, and quote the lyrics.

3) Remember to add a summary of the Games after the main first-person part of the chapter.

4) Send the chapter to me via DocX (PM me if you need to set up a connection).

5) I'll beta the chapter, letting you know if anything needs to be changed and making small edits for stylistic consistency before posting the chapter to the story at the first available opportunity.

NOTE: These Games are set post-rebellion, where a District 14 has been created to assume the role of the now-devastated District 12. As a result, the twenty-four tributes in these Games come from Districts 1-11 and District 14.

Also, any one author can submit multiple chapters, and no chapters will be rejected from the story, although I may ask for them to be edited a little before publishing.

75 Games: The Forgotten

1) PM me, asking which Games is next to be written about, as the chapters must be published in the same chronological order as the chapters in '75 Games, 75 Victors, 75 Oneshots'.

Once you know the Games, choose one of the twenty-three non-winning tributes (regardless of whether they appeared in the original chapter or not) and write a chapter from their perspective, staying in canon to the original chapter from '75 Games, 75 Victors, 75 Oneshots'. Aim for 1,000 words. Most of my chapters are between 1,200 and 1,800 words long.

3) Choose a song as a reference and remember to quote the lyrics as with the original chapter.

4) You do not need to write a summary of the Games.

5) Send me the chapter via DocX (PM me if you need to set up a connection). I'll beta the work, making edits where necessary and publishing it at the earliest possible time.

Just to clarify, one author can write multiple chapters for either story (or even for both), and no chapter will be rejected, although some editing will often be needed prior to publishing.

If anyone has any queries, please feel free to contact me at any time via PM :)

Happy writing, everyone :)

Additional Information Concerning Career Tributes

Several authors have questioned me about how tributes are selected within the Career Districts (Districts 1, 2 and 4), so I figured I'd better explain the selection process here to avoid further confusion.

For Districts 1 and 2:

All boys aged 18 get sent into a simple, artificial arena for a mock Hunger Games (known as the trials), where they fight to the death. Last boy alive earns the right to volunteer for their district at the reaping.

Boys aged 17 or under are eligible to compete in these trials if they ask to, although this is very rare as most wait until they are 18, as failure would result in their death (and they will be at their strongest at age 18).

The same applies for girls - there is one mock Games for each gender in each district.

Due to these trials, nearly all tributes for Districts 1 and 2 are age 18, with roughly 20% aged 16 or 17.

That being said, all victors from D1 or D2 should be aged 17 or 18 due to the rarity of younger trainees entering the trials.

For District 4:

The same as for Districts 1 and 2, only 'fake' weapons are used so there are no fatalities in the trials in District 4.

As such, more trainees of younger ages enter the trials, meaning that the odds of an 18-year-old winning the trials in D4 are around 50%.

Due to this, victors in District 4 should be between the ages of 16 and 18.

Hopefully that solves any issues concerning the Careers and their selection process, but if there are any questions, don't hesitate to PM me with them :)
