Comment: As a lover of books and fiction, history and stories, I have found fan fiction to be a real escapism and great pleasure for years. I must have read thousands of stories over the years and am always amazed at how every writer manages to bring something new or different to the table as they write.
When in school (much longer ago than I like to admit) I did well in English Literature but not so much in English Language. I was more of a reading and maths guy. My spelling, grammar and pronunciation have always been weaknesses which is why I've always consumed and appreciated others writing rather than tried myself. Most people would probably blame my primary school education, during which the vogue at the time was to ignore explaining nouns and verbs or anything beyond the full stop and comma. My sentences tend to ramble with a comma or misplaced semi-colon thrown in in the hope that it makes some sort of sense.
Now however I find myself starting to turn towards notes and ideas that I have jotted down over the years and wonder if I could manage to put together something that might be interest. Primarily for myself of course but maybe others will enjoy it too. Hopefully the spell and grammar checks in Word and other software will save my blushes.
Please be gentle with my not yet middle aged ramblings and hopefully enjoy my little fan fiction jottings. Reviews and comments are most welcome.
