Covert Affairs is the show that got me writing again after a long hiatus. Despite the fact that the Jai is clearly not a fan favorite, he is the character I am most fascinated by (or maybe, Sendhil Ramamurthy is the actor I am most fascinated by). I like that Jai is the most Machiavellian of all the characters, even as he has almost zero understanding of why other people don't act the same way. "A Legacy of Service" and "Off Book" are just two stories in a long, detailed world that lives just in my head about the world of Covert Affairs, how Annie got into the agency, and where everybody is going from here. And yeah, if you're anti-Annie/Jai, let me just say that, in my head, Annie marries Auggie and Auggie occasionally refers to Jai as "the man who slept with my wife." It'll all be Jossed soon enough, but I'm enjoying my little fictional world while it lasts.

Thanks to my reviewer who helpfully let me know that, in the decade or so years since I've posted, fanfiction's reformatting erased all my quotation marks. I am slowly going through and re-editing the chapters. It will take a while, since 33 stories were affected.

3/11/12: The editing project is almost done. Last up will be "The Marrying Kind" and "The Nature of You."
