Author has written 7 stories for Twilight.
A fan of much gothic horror, I stumbled across Twilight about four years ago. I have a bunch of short stories - many of them just rewrites of chapters from the books or add-ons for some of my favorite fics here or on twilighted.net - and I decided to polish them up and post them here. The 2 longer stories - Branded Under the New Moon and Bella and Edward at Angela's Wedding were written from scratch, starting in March. I think my writing has improved dramatically, as I have been employed part-time doing a lot of manuscript editing and proofing at a small literary agency. Reading and editing other's writing is, in my opinion, one of the best ways of discovering what really works (especially in dialogue) and what doesn't.
I generally enjoy writing about the secondary characters, so some of my one-shots and short stories feature them (Lauren, Mike, etc).
I've read probably a hundred twilight fics, and there are maybe twenty that I would consider 'above the rest,' in terms of writing, story, or plotting. Here are several that stand out as 'must reads' for me.
Sacrificial Lamb by Nolebucgrl: A fantastic AU post Eclipse. Well paced, funny, endearing, and filled with tender moments. And Bella's gift is really, really well done.
Inferno by Ludzoo : The best AU 'competent vampire Bella' that I have read.
Resurrection by TwilightMomofTwo : A great Eclipse AU that is an extremely 'mushy' read for B/E fluff lovers. Many heart-warming moments in it.
La canzone della Bella Cigna by Philadelphic : a total AU, where B is a voice prodigy studying at a conservatory where she meets the mysterious, quiet piano TA Edward Cullen. Lush, fabulous writing, but sadly unfinished (about 90% of the way through, and absolutely worth the read even if it never gets done.
Anticipation by bella c'ella luna : if you like lots of high school antics then you will enjoy this very steamy, very M rated fic. Very well written, it lets B and E cut loose a little. These kind of fics generally rank high on my list if they are well done (unfortunately, most aren't).
Atlas Shrugged : not sure if this is available here or only on twilighted, this is an absolutely fabulously written Post Eclipse AU, where B tells Jacob to shove it. The writing is top caliber, easily eclipsing 99% of the stuff available on fanficnet. It's lush, descriptive, and the dialogue is probably the best I've read in a twilight fic - sharp, witty, but moving and deep.
