Author has written 6 stories for Les Miserables, and Les Misérables.
I teach first grade babies in an inner city school. They mean everything to me.
I'm drawn to Enjolras and Les Miserables because I'm seeing "the miserables" every day. All of my kids live in extreme poverty. Most face some form of parental neglect, some are in foster care, and the two full meals plus snack that the kids eat with us at school are sometimes all they eat that day. Two murders have occurred steps outside of our school doors in the last two years and in recent months, an enormous heroin bust happened a block away. My school is located in one of the most dangerous parts of the city.
Basically, the message of Les Miserables, to me, is that there is still something extraordinary worth fighting and even worth dying for. I love my job, I love writing, and I'm glad I get to share my ideas with you. Thanks for reading! :)
