turns around in chair* Good evening, Pebblemist Nation. It is I, your benevolent writer, Pebblemist!
Haha, okay. I'll drop the act.
Hey, guys, I'm Pebblemist. I'm just your average girl, trying to find her place in the world. I started writing fanfiction almost two years ago, as a little eleven-year-old with a less-than healthy obsession with the Warriors series. There was just something about those books that just... drew me in.
I'm older now, a thirteen-year-old with a more healthy obsession with Warriors, and a lot better at writing than I was back then. Honestly, when you look at it, the person who I was back then is completely different than who I am now.
Anyways, if you ever want to talk, feel free to just shoot me a PM. I'm a good listener.
So it looks like you've found your way to my profile! Now that you're here, just kick back and relax, stay a while. I enjoy the company.
"If you let people's perception of you dictate your behavior, you will never grow as a person."
- George Feeny, Boy Meets World
It was February 6th, 2013, and an eleven-year-old girl was at the library with her mother, playing Moshi Monsters on the computer while her mom did her notes for work, when she began to grow bored with the game. She figured she still hyad a few hours until her mom was done.
Then she remembered a website she'd found a few months back, when she'd discovered the Warriors books, and read fanfiction about them. For weeks, her mind had buzzed with so many different ideas, and she realized something important, something that would change the course of her life forever.
She wanted to write her own fanfiction.
A lot has changed within the past few years. That girl soon grew into a smart young lady, though without the best home life. School was a blessing to her. She loved it. But it changed when the bullying started.
He hardly ever left her alone. As her eyesight started to fail her, he made fun of the face that she couldn't afford glasses. When her first dog died unexpectedly the day after Thanksgiving? He laughed. It got to the point where she was almost afraid to go to school every day. But you know what?
She pulled through.
She had the courage to wake up and face each day, with a smile on her face and a pencil in her hand. She continued, despite the circumstances, to go to school and get not only good grades, but grades good enough to get her into the Gifted Program, and, when she reached middle school, Advanced classes.
That girl was me.
I never gave up, never lost faith. God only gives you what He thinks you can handle. All of these challenges I've faced? Merely tests of character.
Nothing that happens can make me forget that.
Never lose your faith. Bad things happen, yes, but they happen for a reason. That's the one thing I'm still sure of. I'm growing up, and the world is changing rapidly. Things that people used to value, like friendship and compassion, are quickly being forgotten, replaced by who takes the best selfies and who has more followers on Instagram.
I like to draw, and read, and write, instead of watching TV or playing video games. I value compassion and friendship, rather than some... other things I observe that people my age value. And maybe these days people find these qualities weird, but I really don't care. I don't think I'm weird, I think I'm unique, as are each and every one of us. And God loves each of us just the way we are.
I'm me, and that's all that matters.
POKEMON UNIVERSE OC's
*THIS SECTION IS A WORK IN PROGRESS*
I thought I'd make it easier on my roleplay partners and just post the profiles of my PU and PQ characters here.
Age: Baby (like, around 15 month baby, 15 POKEMON months)
Attacks: Ember, Dragon Pulse (Egg Move), Protect (TM Move), Focus Punch (TM) , Dig (TM), Iron Tail (TM), Shadow Claw (TM), Aerial Ace (TM
Special Appearances (Optional):
Personality: So young, it doesn't have much of a personality quite yet. The only thing to say here is it likes to get into lots of things and likes to bite.
Home: Relic Forest
History: Born in captivity. A trainer took him as an egg. However, the trainer only wanted him for PokeDex-filling reasons. Once born, the trainer released him into the wild though. The trainer wasn't heartless though, he did 3 things to help the Charmander. First, he tought it some TM moves. Second, he raised it just enough to learn Ember before releasing it. Third, when he released it, he gave him enough food to last him awhile. Unlike most Pokemon who have had this happen too them, he wasn't resentful. He was too young too understand what happened, so therefore wasn't resentful.
Age: 6 (18 in maturity)
Attacks: Moonblast, Psychic, Magical Leaf, Captivate, Hypnosis, Psyshock (TM move) Shadow Ball (TM move) Destiny Bond (from Gengar father)
Ability: Synchronize When she is inflected with a status condition, such as being burned, paralyzed, or poisoned, by another Pokemon, that Pokemon will be inflicted with the same status condition
Also, seeing as she is a Gardevoir, she can sense when there is danger, and can use her psychic power to distort dimensions and create a small black hole to protect herself and her allies. She can use her powers to see the future. And since she can support herself with her psychic powers, she does not feel the pull of gravity.
Special Appearances (Optional): The fin-like horns on Rowan's chest and back, along with her eyes, are orange, and her 'hair,' arms, and the underside of her 'gown' are a light blue color, as opposed to the normal red horns and eyes, and green 'hair' arms and 'gown' sported by the majority of her species. In other words, Rowan is shiny.
In addition to her shininess, she wears a golden, heart-shaped locket around her neck. On the inside of the locket is a picture of a little girl and a shiny Ralts. It is unknown if the locket is real gold or not, but she doesn't really care.
Personality: Rowan is a very eccentric Pokemon. Her confidence is unwavering, and she is sure that she can do anything she puts her mind to. She avoids looking into the future, and when asked to, will commonly say something along the lines of "Why would I do that, silly? It'll spoil the fun of not knowing what's going to happen!" That said, Rowan loves the mystery of life, and is obsessed with her questions about love and life and such. Now, that doesn't mean she thinks much will ever happen to her, regarding love. She knows she's weird, and embraces it. She's not at all insecure about what others think about her. Really, she's the exact opposite. She's not afraid to speak her mind, and has no qualms about being herself. "If a guy doesn't like me for being me, then I don't like that guy!"
Something to know about Rowan is that she is very naive and sometimes a little too trusting of others. She is easily manipulated, and once she has been convinced of something by another Pokemon, it is hard to convince her otherwise. She has a very bad habit of believing almost anything she is told. She isn't dumb; if someone told her that they were the King of Kalos or something, she most likely would walk away muttering that the guy was probably some sort of a crazed lunatic. But if, say someone were to tell her that the bush behind her was on fire, she'd probably scream and run away.
Another thing to know about Rowan; she is very sensitive about her past. Very sensitive. She has not gotten over her grief for her former trainer. She doesn't like talk about the subject, and if it is ever brought up in conversation, she becomes cold and distant, and will change the subject as quickly as she can.
History (Optional): Once upon a time, there was a little girl. her parents were rich, and she got everything she wanted. But the girl was not a spoiled brat, as many girls growing up this way, rather she was humble. She was kind to every being she came across, human or Pokemon. Alas, the time came, and the girl was ready to leave home to pursue a career in Pokemon Training.
But the girl's parents didn't fully approve of this choice. But, as they say if you really love someone, let it go, and if they come back, it's meant to be. But nonetheless, they wanted their daughter to stay safe, for the world was a very harsh place, especially for a girl as fragile and delicate as her. No 'measly starter Pokemon' as they put it, was strong enough, nor worthy enough to be their daughter's protector on her journey. What better suited Pokemon then a strong Psychic type such as a Ralts was there to do the job? And why just any Ralts? What about a shiny one? And so, the parents paid big bucks to give their daughter what they believed would be the best. And thus, Rowan the shiny Ralts was gifted to the girl on her birthday. The two instantly clicked. They were best friends even before they started their journey together the next morning.
Rowan quickly grew to be the powerhouse of the girl's team. It didn't matter what Pokemon they were up against. Rowan was used in every battle, unless she was injured. She soon evolved, first into a Kirlia, then into a Gardevoir. She traveled throughout the world with her beloved trainer. They had a bond like no other, and it became stronger and stronger, every day of the six years they spent together.
But then that fateful day came, and Rowan's world turned completely upside down.
Rowan and her trainer were on Route 9. Spikes Passage. The trainer had been wanting to see Glittering Cave. Rowan had tried to warn her about the dangers of Spikes Passage, and about how Glittering Cave was not worth the risk, but the girl wouldn't listen.
And so there Rowan was, following behind her trainer on the Ryhorn. It had been a seemingly normal day. Then there was a roar in the distance. Spooked, Rowan tried to warn her trainer not to go any further, but the girl didn't listen. Rowan dared a peak into the future. She saw the rockfall just moments before it happened. She was too late.
She tried. She tried her hardest to save her, to get her out of the way. But there was nothing she could do to stop the Snorlax-sized boulders from crushing her trainer.
She was dead before Rowan could even get help.
Her whole world fell apart.
Notes (Optional): None
Attacks: Tackle, Leer, Comet Punch, Slash, Karate Chop, Power-Up Punch (TM Move) Surf (TM Move) Foul Play (from father)
Ability: Mold Breaker
Special Appearances (Optional): Maya's fur is red-brown instead of black (shiny) Going against the norm, she doesn't carry a leaf in her mouth like others of her species.
Personality: Maya is a bit of a huge trouble maker, which gives her a kind of a "bad girl" image among other Pokemon. She is very witty and can be equally attracting or intimidating to others as she cares to be. Maya is almost always dry and sarcastic. She is very loyal and protective of her friends. Maya often acts over-confident, and she's not afraid to express herself, going so far as to not carry a leaf in her mouth like others of her species. Though she would never let anyone know this, on the inside, she's very vulnerable, and she is not always proud of who she is. However, she is aptly able to hide these qualities, as she is also very rebellious and won't hesitate to fight for what she believes in, never following the rules and even risking getting in trouble in the process.
History (Optional): Maya doesn't have a very interesting past. She was born wild, to a Pangoro mother and a Zoroark father. Her father abandoned the family shortly she hatched, so she doesn't have any memories of him. Her mother was never around, only dropping by to bring her food. One day, her mother was captured by a trainer. Maya was then forced to learn how to take care of herself, and did a pretty good job of it. On account of her shininess, she has been captured numerous times by numerous trainers, but Maya was never the type to prefer being tied down by a trainer, and would misbehave, torment their other Pokemon, and disobey the trainer until they released her. She has made it a habit to try not stay near human establishments, and she tries to stay out of sight of any human that crosses her path.
Notes (Optional): She found her TMs in her travels.

A SPECIAL THANKS
There are many authors out there who have influenced me. J.K. Rowling, John Green, Rick Riordan, and Veronica Roth, for example. But none have influenced me more than those who I've personally worked with through this website. They've not only helped me through writer's block, but helped me through hard times. We've been through thick and thin, good and bad together. I would like to give a special thanks to:
thegoldenfinch- you've been one of my best friends since first grade, and you've helped me through so much. I doubt you even know how much. For the past few months or so I've been questioning who I can trust, who I can consider a true friend. To me, a true friend is someone I can tell anything to, and you, my friend, are definitely one of few. Thanks, best friend.
I love you all so much! There are no words in the English language- ANY language, for that matter- to describe how much you have all helped me, shaped me into the person I am today. God bless you all.
