Author has written 4 stories for Fate/stay night, and Naruto.
Hey, if you can see this, note that FF.net is not where I post most of my shit. Check out Beasts Lair. You can find my work there here. EDIT: LINK IS BORKED, SORRY ABOUT THAT. JUST GOOGLE BEAST LAIR FANFIC, IT *SHOULD* COME UP UNDER THE AUTHOR TAGS STICKY. FOR THAT MATTER, CHECK OUT THE RECOMMENDED FANFICTION STICKY FOR NASUVERSE GOODNESS
Anyway, a bit of advice for anyone who wants to write fanfiction - start small. Don't launch into a huge epic on your first go, start with oneshots to find your groove as a writer. The more you write, the better you get.
Also, find a good beta. They'll help you immensely. Also, don't fall victim to the hugbox, seek out criticism.
A couple other suggestions I have - READ NOVELS. Find an author you like, and study how they write. Then make it your own.
The trick isn't that you don't steal, its putting a new spin on what you do steal!
Stories I advise you do not read:
From Fake Dreams: ...Do I really even need to say why? Sueification and mischaracterization of nearly every main character, over use of '...', idiotic ideas that have no reason to have been thought up or used, and SWORD SURFING. It also sucks away and misleads the uninformed about the whole dystopian nature of the Nasuverse. Avoid like a leprous pedophile. Thirdfang is a decent author, but this fic just sucks ass.
In Flight: Overlong, under and crippling wrong characterization, blatantly wrong info dumps, and walls of text that could make up the fortifications of Helms Deep and still have room to spare. Oh, and horrible horrible HORRIBLE slice of life. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Anything to do with a Mary Sue: You all know the signs (Or should know the signs) of one by now. If you are writing one, go screw yourself, and drop that story like a hot potato.
