Author has written 3 stories for Lion King, Legend of Korra, and And Then There Were None.
Hello! I am Tangerininess, but you may call me Tangerine, or Tange, or such.
I have always loved writing/reading and FF.net seemed like a great opportunity. Now, although I love writing, I admit it's not even remotely the best, so I apologize in advance for any errors.
For those of you following my story, A Thousand Golden Suns, I'm sorry to not have updated recently. There's just been SO many things in my way; I got the flu, my mother went to the hospital, overwhelming school work getting prepared for college and being enrolled in state programs, etc. Also, and believe me it pains me to say it, but I am somewhat losing interest in the story and fandom. Don't get me wrong, I love it, and I don't doubt my interest will revive someday, but not right now. I will not abandon the story, however! Just, you know, don't expect it to be updated so frequently (pfft, as if it already is). So, please, just bear with me, I beg you!
Now that that's out of the way, let me tell you some things about myself:
-My username. I really, really, really, REALLY hated oranges, mandarins, tangerines, all and everything related to oranges, or citrus. I hated the way it tasted and the juice and just everything. My grandmother loved them, and they used to live with us, so we had them everywhere. I was confused on how you would even eat something like that, and I was/am very picky when it comes to food so I spit out anything that I didn't like--you know, the weird little cocoon the fruit's encased in, yeah I hated that. But then I grew up and I realized how much I actually loved them. Especially tangerines and mandarins 'cause they're so small and yummy and I like their tangerininess ;)
-I love writing and drawing. I started taking art seriously around eight years old, taking art classes for about two-three years. Since then, I've always had an art class, whether in school or as something extracurricular.
-I am a female. Aged between 10-20, still in high school (I hate my peers' stupidity/ignorance; sorry to say it, but it's true. I love learning, but God!, they are restless!)
-I speak three languages; English, Spanish, and French. I also know some Swahili and German. Now, when I say I "know some", I mean "I have tried, but cannot; I do recognize some words, however". My first language was Spanish; I speak English a bit more/better than Spanish (I know, I'm a disgrace; I'm losing my Spanish!!); My favorite language is French, however. It's just so beautiful and romantic! (and easier to understand if you know Spanish).
-I am Hispanic...although I don't look like one. Many people have confused me with being American, and a substitute once thought I was French. I am Mexican American (of Mexican decent, born in the US). My friends often times make jokes about how pale I look in contrast to many Hispanics, although there are rather fair-skinned ones out there. Just, you know, apparently not where I live!
-I have a lisp. I honestly cannot tell you how many times people have made fun of me for my lisp. It's ridiculous, and does actually hurt my feelings sometimes. Now, I don't really care for what anyone says of me, because I can't change and won't for them. BUT! It's happened too many times to ignore and I really ask myself if it's that bad...I can't pronounce words with the -sh/-ch sound correctly, and the -th is difficult too.
-My favorite colors are all the cool colors. I especially love the Palatine & Eminence shades of purple and blue-green/teal. Purple in Spanish is púrpura, but we also called it morado. Now, when I was a little girl, apparently I couldn't say morado, so whenever they asked me what my favorite color was (which my family did often just to make fun of me), I would say moradito. Yeah, apparently I always make things longer than they should be (like this profile; *whispers: sorryyy*).
-My favorite subjects are Art, Astronomy, Science, Psychology and Forensic Science. I love anything having to do with space and arts and science! I adore science.
-I love music. I can play the piano somewhat, although I learn by sight and can't read jack off a music sheet--sadly. I plan on learning to play the guitar and violin. I also really love the drums and singing, even though I do not have the best voice. But my grandfather was a musician and my cousin has a good voice, so I have hope!
-DISNEY. I was raised on Disney, like I'm sure many of you have too. I admit, I was always scared of the intro music, and no matter what, we never learned to lower the volume before that thing started. Alas, I still miss it. The D in Disney at the beginning also tripped me out. I always, always, thought it was a G. I was never more mind blown than in the moment I discovered it indeed wasn't a G but a D. But anyways, my new favorite movie is Frozen, and I have joined the fandom!
On that note, I plan on making a fanfic off the movie, and you know what pairing I'm going to revolve it around? ICEBURNS. I just LOVE Hans and Elsa together, like you have no idea. I feel like I have such a great idea, but I don't know whether it will turn out as good as I hope. Anyways, I will be working on that for a while, making sure its exactly like I imagine it. I also have plans of writing my own novel, so I'll be working on that too. I hope to prove to you guys following me and/or that have favorite/followed my story(ies) that I am improving!
Thank you for giving me a chance, I really appreciate it. I love reading your reviews, so keep them coming (once I start updating again, that is). :)
Ideas For Future Fics:
-[yet to be named]- Iceburns/Hansla/Helsa- Viking/English AU: Hans is the thirteenth son of the former chief of the Viking clan of the Southern Isles. Like all his brothers, he longs for adventure and power. Catching news of the coronation of the new queen-to-be of Arendelle, a prospering neighboring kingdom, Hans' brothers use him in order to conquer the land and get to the throne. The plan is to disguise Hans as another noble, and once having earned the trust and respect of the people, woo the queen and marry her. Once Hans is in command, the clan will invade, ultimately making Arendelle Viking territory. However, Hans' accomplice (another one of his brothers) refuses to betray the naïve queen Elsa. Hans also finds it hard to make her fall for his charm as she is very timid and grew up isolated from the world. Her younger sister, Princess Anna, however, is much more easily fooled. Plans are changed, but Hans is willing to do everything he must to prove himself both to his brothers and clan as well as to the rest of the world. Circumstances change yet again when the entire kingdom discovers their new queen has "ungodly" powers. Discarded by his ticket to the throne (Anna) as she runs to recover her run away sister, Hans is tempted to let his brothers know of the divided kingdom. He realizes this is the perfect chance to attack, but something's stopping him...
-[yet to be named]- Iceburns/Hansla/Helsa- Merely an idea/what if. What if the Prince of the Southern Isles and the Princesses of Arendelle first met when they were children? Things would obviously be different. Perhaps Hans would have second thoughts? Plot still under construction.
-[yet to be named]- Iceburns/Hansla/Helsa- Story in which Hans has fire powers that go against Elsa's (FireVerse). Pretty much everything will be the same as in the movie, only now Hans will begin to show his powers. Like Elsa, he grew up with the fear of hurting those he loved. After learning of his powers, his brothers taunted him nonstop, his father grew more distant, and even his loving mother always held that hint of fear in her eyes. Things only worsen when both his parents die, leaving him in the care of his twelve cold older brothers. Hans is locked up in the Southern Isles, awaiting execution. In an unexpected turn of events, someone sees to it that he is not killed. Instead, Hans is shipped out to Arendelle to face yet another trial. Having nowhere to run, he must face the very woman he once tried to kill. Currently being worked on.
