![]() Author has written 108 stories for Harry Potter, Ranma, Labyrinth, Gormenghast, Naruto, Buffy X-overs, Death Note, Angel Sanctuary, Saiyuki, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Enchanted Forest, Diana Wynne Jones, Chronicles of Narnia, Star Trek: 2009, Dark is Rising Sequence, Inception, Black Jewels Trilogy, Girl with the Silver Eyes, Seaward, Susan Cooper, Homestuck, Stargate: SG-1, and Indiana Jones. Who I Am: I am a 30-something woman living in the northeastern United States. I have brown hair, brown eyes, glasses, a tendency to flush heavily for no apparent reason, a slightly off-kilter sense of humor, shaky time-management skills, eight bookcases, a very long to-read list, and a weakness for houseplants and Coca-Cola. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o What I Read And Write: Harry Potter was my first fandom, and I never quite seem to escape its gravitational pull. My next most prolific fandom is Naruto, followed by the Chronicles of Narnia and Homestuck. I have dabbled in many other fandoms, but rarely for very long. However, I continue to read fanfiction for almost every fandom I've written for, as well as dozens of others for which I am simply an appreciative lurker. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Where I Post: In case ff-dot-net eats the links in the following paragraphs, here is the tl;dr version. You can find me on Dreamwidth, Tumblr, and the Archive of Our Own (AO3) by searching for the username 'edenfalling'. The first post on my Dreamwidth journal is a master list of all my fiction, an awful lot of which has not been and will not ever be cross-posted to this site. So if you like my work, go there to find more! Now let's try the version with actual links... My Dreamwidth journal () contains various original stories and a lot of fanfiction, all of which can be found via my handy-dandy master fic list (/407673.html). I crosspost some of the fanfiction here, but most of the shorter oneshots (and all of my FF7 collaborative AU stuff) will never appear anywhere else. I have a Tumblr (), but its fic content is, again, a mirror of my Dreamwidth journal; it doesn't get any extra snippets. I also post on AO3 (/users/edenfalling) and I have a few Harry Potter stories at FictionAlley (/authors/elizabeth_culmer/) that I haven't cross-posted here. Some of my stories are also hosted on other archives, but all the published fanfiction I've written can be found on AO3 or on my journal. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Archive Policy, as of 10/16/11: My old policy was to freely allow archiving, on the sole condition that the archiver informed me what was going on with my stories. This is no longer the case. In light of a recent issue in Narnia fandom, where a blogger going by Narnian Caparison has been posting other people's stories in pdf files without asking the writers' permission or even notifying us after the fact, has been editing said stories without asking permission (removing all contextual information, stripping italics, and maybe other changes as well; she feels free to edit for "clarity," which is a horribly fuzzy area), and is refusing to practice basic courtesy and apologize, let alone take the pdfs down when asked, I am changing my archiving policy. Henceforth, ASK ME FIRST. I will almost certainly say yes, but I like to know where my stories are, and have some assurance that the people running the archives will listen to writers' concerns instead of ignoring our requests and arguing against threats we have not made. Sorry for any inconvenience. Note: To clarify, this does not apply to links and recs. (Links and recs are fine! Links and recs are wonderful! Links and recs are ridiculously flattering!) What I object to is people reposting the actual content of my stories on other sites without my permission. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Fanart: Stuff various wonderful people have drawn for my stories! (Plus two of my own doodles.) FF-dot-net has been eating these links, so I will instead attempt to make it display a single link to a Dreamwidth post containing the full list of pictures. Here goes: /901796. (and then the forbidden four letter ending). o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o What I'm Writing Now: As of February 2016, I removed this section because I kept forgetting to update it. Suffice it to say that I am generally working on something. However, the stories in question will probably never appear here because I've gotten more and more annoyed by ff-dot-net's rich text interface (and its tendency to eat formatting) over the years. I will continue to update WIPs, but if you want to read my new works -- aka, pretty much everything I've written since mid-2013 -- you should check out my AO3 page (/users/edenfalling) instead. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Reviews: If you have a question about any of my stories, please log in and leave a signed review, or at least leave your email address. If you're anonymous I can't give you an answer, but I do my best to respond to all reviews that have some form of contact information. So remember to log in. ETA: Please enable private messages as well, because review responses now go through the PM system! |
