Poll: Who should Ash be paired with in A True Father? Please note that this is just to help me. I will take the votes into consideration, but ultimately, I have the final say. Vote Now!
Name: Well, my grandpa used to call me "bright man" and if I were Japanese, I would be Akihiko... don't worry, I'm not a madman with a god complex (although shindan says I am)
Age: High School student
Height/Weight: dafuq...? Same is all I'm going to say. Same.
Weeb level: Over 9000 (actually, probably one of the biggest weebs at my school, probably a big reason why so many people hate me apart from my social awkwardness)
Extra note: I'm studying Japanese at school and alone and I may or may not have Japanese in my writing. I intend to one day write in Japanese. Also, because what I write (now) is fanfiction of anime, it sounds more natural and correct if it's in Japanese. You wouldn't hear people like Kirito using English idioms (although maybe Hikigaya if he's feeling bold, but he's strong in Japanese, not necessarily English). I will do my best to capture the essence of the story and characters in my writing as they change.
Favorite Fandom: やはり俺の青春ラブコメまちがっている/Oregairu. All my Pokemon fanfics are old and kept on the site for archival purposes. Likely, most will never see the light of day again, unless for some random reason, I decide to sit down and continue one of the random ideas that I forgot the plot for. Second favorite fandom is SAO (so unoriginal, I know) and third favorite is Nisekoi.
Favorite Anime Grilz:
1. Katou Megumi (I have a pillow, now I just gotta get the cover)
2. Yuigahama Yui
4. Kasumigaoka Utaha (ごめんなさい、先輩。死のばんごうをあげました)
5. Onodera Kosaki (a far cry from how things used to be)
What exactly have I been doing the past couple years:
Well let's see... getting depressed, trying to write, getting depressed, trying to participate in nanowrimo, going back to fanfiction for a bit, almost becoming a blasted riajuu, trying to find inspiration to write an original novel because I wanted to get published, and basically doing stuff that's not fanfiction. つまり、ファンふぃっくじゃない事
A few months a go or so, I became obsessed with HachiYui and decided to read whatever I thought was good from the entire English collection of Oregairu fanfics. I started writing something and stopped on the first chapter (typical me) because I lost my drive to write the story. Over Thanksgiving break, I flew down to my grandparents and got engrossed in SAO fanfics. I've read the entire KiriSachi collection (at least what I thought was worth reading) and have started reading the main Kirito collection. I don't ship Kirito with Asuna (probably because I watched the anime and didn't read the ranobe). I also started to write an SAO story, although I won't release any details about it other than that it's probably going to be dark and I'm going to be waiting until I have most of the chapters written/prepared before I start releasing them on a (hopefully) regular schedule. Basically, not for a long, long time (in a galaxy far, far away).
For those of you who can't bother to go look for whatever reason, the majority of the pie chart is time spent hating the shit out of your own work.
I've always been pretty disappointed by how I wrote, despite some of the reviews I got. Something always felt off when I re-read my writing after a few days or so. The way it read sounded immature and incomplete. It was missing something other than a soul. It was missing something that I didn't quite understand yet. I still don't claim to understand and write gingerly because of it; however, as of recently, having had many attempts at writing different stories, I'm starting to find my writer's voice. I'm gaining confidence in how and what I write. I hope to bring everyone a work that is not only comparatively strong but memorable. Most people who read Pokemon fanfics should know The Straight Elf and his novel, "The Traveler." People in the Oregairu community know loner-kun. I hope- no, I will bring something that everyone will know and remember as a great fanfiction.
Favorite anime quotes:
It's rather hypocritical of me to admire Hikigaya Hachiman's ideals and speak how I did back there, but please overlook that.
I play Love Live School Idol Festival. My favorite idol is Kotori Minami and I suppose either Honoka or Umi would be second. I'm rather salty at the fact that I spent 20 loveca on the recent Kotori event and even though I was at rank 3000 just 30 minutes before the event ended, I was booted out to 4700, losing the second SR.
