![]() Author has written 1 story for Marching Band. have been using this site for years and years and finally got around to getting an account so i can save my fave stories , i mainly like MCR frerard fics (not into frikey or any the rest of it!) and i have a huge yen for janet evanovich ranger or babe fics i'm definitely not a cupcake :) and i very occasionally dip into spike/buffy and moonlight (the vampire one not the awful bruce willis thing) and tim roth in lie to me ... those are my fanfic leanings so far anyways! I have also been a member of DeviantArt and LiveJournal for a good few years. My name there is Mcrmyedinburghgirl. I am going to start putting my MCR/Frerard fic up on here as i prefer the reading format for this site, its not as intrusive :) I will point out its a band fic an will prob end up a bit slashy so if thats not your thing then don't read :) i've also been asked to make it more upbeat - sorry guys never gonna happen - i just don't know how to write happy and every time i try it ends up in a darker place than i'd intended , so it is what it is :) Other than fanfic i read tons , i'm not a television person , i do own one but its rarely switched on (less than once a month) i just find it annoying, i read a really eclectic mix of things including the usual suspects of: twilight, the true blood novels - (have heard of the tv show but again i tried to watch but got annoyed so left it) the aurora teagarden books, the grave series, the dresden files, the laurell k hamilton's anita blake and merry gentry series , the black dagger brotherhood books (omg can u imagine if ranger and the merry men were to team up with the brothers?!) I have enjoyed the classics which just showed me i like dickens and cannot stand jane austen or the bronte sisters works- i tried so hard to like them but just no, they're over rated tripe. shakesperes fun but i have to be in the right mindset to get through the language barrier and actually enjoy it . i read quite a lot of comics/graphic novels with grant morrisons batman and warren ellis transmetropolitan and gerard ways umbrella academy being my all time faves and emily the strange, scott snyder's american vampire, warren ellis' planetry being not far behind :) i'm happy to give anything that crosses my path a good try and have found some really good books i haven't listed here as i think i've went on too long and given a fair sample of my tastes which could be summed up as sci-fi to urban fantasty with romance and geekiness thrown in for spice lol |
