Author has written 2 stories for How to Train Your Dragon. After lurking around for quite a while, guess this thing needs an update... ahem* Welcome to my corner of the interwebz! I'm a product of the previous century, and a long-time sci-fi/fantasy fan dragon enthusiast, who's so old-school that he still considers the mystical art of "reading" as a hobby, and great way to have fun in some spare time. I'm not lying if I say I've read hundreds of books of various kinds, as engineering and (millitary)history (in addition to the lighter stuff) were always close to me. I came to this site in search of some more reading material: when someone loves dragons and such, it just can't read enough about it. I'm really lucky with this place, because other than giving me the chance of having tons of fun with interesting writings, I even met some fantastic people here. I like to read pretty much everything which focuses on dragons. Human-centric writings can be nice, but in my humble opinion, dragons are just more interesting to read about. I strongly dislike fanfictions which completely lacks any kinds of spell or grammar checking. There is no harm in not being fluent in English. I'm also not a native English speaker. But there are so many friendly people around here who are, and they can shape it to a format which is actually readable. When I want to read, I don't want to make my eyes sore. My reader-taste is pretty wide, I accept any kinds of writing as long as they are presented well, and sufficiently long enough. 100 words/one chapter writings are no-no for me. Besides HttyD, I like to read about: Lord of the Rings And a lot else. :) I think this is the place where everyone puts their favourite quotes as well, so here goes mine: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." - Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill. This is pretty much goes for everything in life. Nothing lasts forever, bad things or good things alike. The only way to endure, is to stand up, and fight the hardships. Each and every problem one solves makes it a better, stronger person. Learn from your mistakes and think first before you act, or speak. |
