![]() Author has written 14 stories for Star Wars, Gilmore Girls, and Harry Potter. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Charlie Hayden and I have been writing fanfiction since I was fifteen, so for me that is twelve long years of writing. In that time I have learned to develop my writing style and the practice has enabled me to write, good, quality stories. I've been on this site for a long time and in that time I have set my own standards and my own rules. One of them is in regards to reviews. I like to hear feedback from my readers and I really enjoy hearing what you have to say, what you loved and what you hated. However, I only accept signed reviews for two reasons. The first is that I only answer my reviews in a private message. I do not fill half a page publicly answering my reviews like so many other authors do. Secondly, I have had a couple flamers throw accusations at me in an anonymous review so I could not reply in a private message. I simply refuse to rant and rave about it in little hissy fit in an authors note at the top of my next chapter. I also get tired of the one line reviews such as "update soon," "Keep it up," or "Wow great chapter!" I wont even respond to those. But if you do go on and gush about what you enjoyed or share your frustration with what you hated and what not, I'll be glad to discuss it with you. I've also decided to give out little plot teasers to anyone who can give me the best review of the chapter. Meaning that I will share with you a paragraph of an upcoming scene or chapter. But that prize will only go to one person and that is the person who can give me the best review. Now, I do have a life beyond fanfiction. I'm a collage student so that takes up most of my time and I like hanging out with my friends or watching movies or reading a nice book. Fanfiction isn't my life, it's my hobby. Also, I will on occasion suffer from a writers depression and stop writing for a short period of time. So my updating will be spazzy. So just try to stick with me. I also write as it comes to me and it is never in order and often I will write ahead in the story rather than at the present. Lastly, you will not find a disclaimer in any of my stories. I think all disclaimers are redundant and a pretty much "duh," statement. Since this site is titled fanfiction dot net, it is pretty obvious that no one here owns the rights to any materials, save for original plot, characters, and/or scenery. UPDATE! I know that I've been pretty absent for quite a while, but soon that will change. I'm taking a break away from my Gilmore Girls projects for a while until the motivation/inspiration arrow hits in their direction again. There is a new project that I'm working on that I'm pretty excited about and is something I haven't done in years. I'm hitting my original fanfiction roots and taking a step back into the Harry Potter area. The project that I'm working on is going to take quite some time to develop before I have anything ready to post. It's going to be a three part, multi-layered project that takes a whole new spin on some tired old ideas and will offer an alternate setting for Harry's sixth year at Hogwarts and ultimate defeat of Voldemort. See, Harry will have some help and support from some unexpected people during this crucial time in his life, his parents. I'm going to tell you guys about these three parts right now. The first part will deal what really happened in 1981, the events that lead up to that Halloween night and what happened after. Explaining why, if Lily and James survived, then where were they for fifteen years? In the first part, it will deal with ancient magic that had some unexpected results that will force Lily and James to fight their way back to their son. And they will go on an unexpected journey through unfamiliar territory controlled by death himself. The second part will deal with the aftermath once Lily and James have returned to find that fifteen years had passed since they last saw their son. And a hunt will begin for a mythical relic called the Chalice of Malice as Voldemort plots for Dumbledore's death, unaware that Harry wasn't the only one to survive his killing curse fifteen years prior. The third part will largely deal with the battle to destroy Voldemort once and for all and the aftermath of the final battle. |
