Hi there, my user name is DaleJr.88, but my real name is Jordan. And I want to tell the world a few things about myself.
I am 17 years old and I am a Junior in High School. I am currently within the second half of my Junior year and so far, I have enjoyed my Junior year, with one of my favorite class' being Chinese.
I am a Christian, in which I believe that there is only one God. And that his son is named Jesus, who died on the cross for all of our sins. I also believe that every word of the Bible is the true written word of God. Here are some verses from the Bible:
Ephesians 4:26-27 says: "In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold." Now, you may wonder what it means. Well, here is the answer: You can be angry(some things we need to be angry about!). Just because you get angry doesn't mean you have to sin! Say someone curses you unjustly. Anger rises up. If you then curse the one who cursed you, you sin. If you hold your tongue, even though you are angry, you haven't sinned yet. But if you are insulted and maligned and in your anger you lash out with your fists- you sinned. What you need to do is hold your tongue and hold your fists. When you're cursed, don't lash out with your tongue or your fists- just walk away. However, if you walk away and you are still bitter toward the person, you have sinned. Do none of these things. Be angry, but do not sin! What is the solution? Forgive the one who cursed you. Forgive him/her and love him/her anyway. The weak lash out when offended. The strong forgive. Be strong in the Lord.
James 3:9-10 says: "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be." In other words, I should be praising people, and being kind to them. Not mean, and cursing them. Also Matthew 7:12 says: "So in everything, do to others what you would have them to do you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." Now you may wonder what this verse means, well here is the answer: Imagine a world where everybody lived by this simple verse- the Golden Rule. Imagine how it would change a nation, a city, a business, a church, or even a family. Too many times, we forget to do this one simple thing: treat others like we want to be treated. Even with the mercy and grace God displayed to us through Christ on the cross, we still struggle with this simple rule. It's so simple, even a child can understand it, but all too often the evil one's power keeps us from living this one out. Imagine your life lived by this rule, and then set out to live it.
Romans 12:17-20 says: Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the yes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your emeny is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink."
Ephesians 4:22-24 says "You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."
