Hi! I am a 31 yr old female from the Eastern side of the US. Fanfiction is fairly new to me, but I have been lucky to have already met some great people here who have welcomed me and have shared great advice.

I'm an X Men fan from my childhood and teens, but I admit I'm not as up to date on the newer storylines, though I have been reading comics when I can. If you haven't signed up for it, Marvel Unlimited is worth every penny as you can read unlimited comics online. I just finished the X-23 series and the Jubilee-vampire storyline, so although I haven't gotten through to the end (I am not sure I even want to get to the vampire-teen with a baby SL), I've tried to remain fairly close to what's happened in the comics.

I've just finished my very first fanfiction series (Smoke and Flames), so I hope you'll take the time to check it out and to review it. I have been working on the overall story line for quite some time, and I've just finally gotten around to writing it down. I have to admit that it's caused me to change some things, but I suppose that is all part of the writing process.

Currently, I'm working on "Evading Darkness," which is promising to be a fairly long fic focused on Jubilee coming to terms with her vampire self. I feel like the comics skipped over some crucial parts to her development and never shows her truly dealing with what she is on the deepest levels. This story is set to remedy that, fast-forwarding the time line 20-some years to where she realizes she's been heading down a path destined for destruction. As she's deciding to make a change in her life, she returns to Logan, who always seems to be there when she needs him. It's turned into a bit of a love story between them, so I guess that would make it a Lolee? or Jugan? I've not seen one yet, so I'm not sure what the abbreviation is. ;) Anyway, we'll have some cameos from other X-Men, but we'll also have quite a bit of time with Laura, and a bit with Remy.

I am a fairly frequent updater, so you can expect new chapters on Wednesdays and Saturdays, though I'm upping my timeline for "The Collector" so I can get it out more quickly."

Anyway, I love to write, and I love to talk about writing. I'm always looking for feedback, and some things I haven't quite figured out yet. Please PM me with any questions or just leave them in a review!
