Author has written 7 stories for Harry Potter, and Worst Witch.
So I used to be Lou.McGonagall, but then some friends came up with a stage name for me and it seemed like a better idea.
Right, let's start at the very beginning! A very good place to start.
I'm in my mid 20's and from the UK. In a sentence, I am a musical obsessing, book reading, soprano singing Disney Dork!
I've been a member of FF.Net for so many years that I've forgotten how long. It all started off with my love of The Worst Witch and wondering if anyone else had the urge to find out what happened when the pages ran out and the cameras stopped rolling. And the rest is history!
I write FF for Harry Potter and the Worst Witch. I'm a huge Albus/Minerva and Tonks/Remus shipper, and Constance Hardbroom just happens to be my favourite literary character.
I love musicals. And singing. And Disney. If I could sing in a Disney musical, I think I would freak out. I think I'd make a great Mary Poppins. Just saying. I have the accent and everything. And one day I will have all the costumes. But my absolute favourite musical is Joseph. It was the first musical I ever remember seeing and I fell in love with the narrators role at the tender age of 7! It was only years later that I realised that Linzi Hately had actually performed that role when I saw it. Just, wow.
I also have a soft spot of The BoyFriend. I played Polly in my university production (but I didn't sing. Got nodules two weeks before, boo. But I had a very lovely voice double! Lucky I could still talk and dance, just had to mime) and it was the best time I had at uni!
I've sung in my uni choir and two choirs for Disney (ENCORE! and the Candlelight Processional) and in my bedroom all the time. And when I couldn't sing, I mimed to my iPod. The things I do to stop me getting crazier!
And then in my spare time (and sometimes when I'm working) I think up ideas for possible story lines and constantly wish I went to Cackles Academy (seems slightly less dangerous than Hogwarts, but I wouldn't say no to there either). I also spend time thinking about how I should really grow up and think sensible things. But it's a futile attempt.
I have a strong feeling that one-shot stories are my forte, but I hope you will all forgive me for not updating my longer ones for, well, years. I went to work in Walt Disney World a couple of times (totalling 25 months), and in the meantime I was at uni, so believe me, there's just no time to write then! I really think I need to get my writing confidence back!
To Find the Love I Need - I think I've hit a road block. As in, I know where I want the story to go, I just haven't worked out how to get there! I had it all planned out but the story took a different direction (and a much needed one). I'll get there eventually.
The Worst Witch
Just When You Thought - to put it frankly, I just cringe when I read this. It's not that the story is wrong, it's just how I portray the characters. I think a rewrite is in order. The thing I do like about it is it ties in a great deal with a HP fic I have in the pipe line (which I refuse to start until I have this one under control, and yes, I do like to dabble in the odd cross over) though I'm afraid after that the stories leave the relm of HP and The Worst Witch and become something I just made up. I'm not sure I made any sense there!
I love to find out the back stories of characters you don't know a lot about. Take Minerva and Constance for instance. Two very strong women who play important parts of their stories, but we never find out much about them. I love that FF.Net gives writers the chance to fill in those gaps. And some of you do it so fabulously.
