DSV was born from me playing the game Final Dusk, which features a cute lil' vampire, and thinking "Taylor as vampire. Hmm." And then I read somewhere that there weren't enough fics about Faultline, so I thought "Yeah, Taylor joins Faultline's crew." And it blossomed from there. Originally I wanted to follow this story all the way until what Madison hints at in the epilogue comes to pass, but that would require at least a hundred thousand more words. I know there's plenty fics that far surpass that kind of length, but I didn't want to write something that long. 200k is honestly pushing it a bit (for me). A sequel could be cool, but I don't see myself writing it in the near future. At the end of it all, I enjoyed writing this a lot. It got mixed reception, especially the Madison chapters, but to be honest those were the most fun. I gave Madison a borderline sociopathic personality and it was loads of fun exploring it.
