Modern AU. Grantaire cursed his own drunken uselessness; his own stupidity; he cursed his whole being. He carefully took Enjolras' limp hand and started crying. "Please be okay. Please Apollo. Please don't die"

It's a Friday night. Some of the Amis go out, some go home and one stays at the Café to work. Enjolras is in the middle of writing a motivation letter for an internship when he is suddenly experiencing something he never has before. A migraine. But what can he do about it when he's all alone at the Café and doesn't have a clue of what is going on with him? Modern AU.

When kind hearted passionate Courfeyrac, member of the Les Amis d l'abc, finds a young boy, cold and ill in the streets of Paris he has to help. He finds his weakness, the little boy who needs him and also shows him what he is fighting for. AUish

Enjolras is convinced even the people in the darkest corners of Paris should know about the revolution. His friends warned him not to go there alone and he is going to find out why. After the first revolution of 1848, Combeferre is released from prison into the care of his younger brother, who had thought him dead. Now they must reclaim their relationship and discover their purposes in the new republic. In progress.

"Enjolras had never before seen his friend cry. He had seen Combeferre ecstatic and furious and, once, terrified beyond words, had watched him light up with hope and shake with quiet despair, but never had he seen Combeferre weep."

When Combeferre needs to perform a physical examination on somebody for his medical studies class, Enjolras becomes the lucky "volunteer." However, during the exam, 'Ferre discovers that something is wrong with Enjolras's heart...That heart that's always and forever beating for Patria. NOT SLASH. COMPLETE.

They're both broken by themselves, but neither can understand the other. One just doesn't want to talk about it. After Courfeyrac loses it, he gives up on being forgiven by Jehan, who was hurt far worse than he thought. It's all one big misunderstanding. Grantaire is a self-destructive, nihilistic idiot, but didn't everyone know that already? After getting into a fight with some punk from the Patron-Minette, a bloody and broken Grantaire is left to the devices of the man whose honor he was defending: his own perfect god, Enjolras. T for makeouts, violence, and language. (Does anyone even care about language anymore?)

Gavroche and Grantaire are like brothers, and are very close. When Gavroche is shot at the barricade, Grantaire refuses to believe he is gone. Is he right, or is Gavroche dead? One way of another, they will meet again. Rated T for language. Story better than summary!
