Author has written 7 stories for Stargate: SG-1, and X-Files.
I don't reallllllly remember watching MacGyver, but I sort of do...I remember watching an episode in the lounge area of a car dealership one evening. I think Pete was in trouble in that one. At least that's what I remember. I remember the TV movie coming on several times and Mac made dog whistles to get through some tunnel.
Then I remember my dad calling upstairs to me one night that MacGyver was on TV. So, I found the channel and checked it out. I also remember seeing Hammond who also played Scully's father on The X-Files, which is what I was addicted to back in the day.
What sucked was I went to college in 2000 and that channel wasn't available. Then they switched to the Scifi channel and I never got to watch it unless I caught a random rerun somewhere.
I kind of fell out of the Stargate world, but then about 5-6 years ago I discovered them online somewhere, so I started watching them that way.
For some reason though, it wasn't until sometime earlier this year that the addiction bug hit me. I found another site that airs them, but I can't get them all and the streaming is slow. I'm saving my money to buy the series. I've been soaking up fanfic like crazy.
I used to love the x-files and now that it's been off the air for over a decade, I can't help but feel like I might actually like Stargate more than X-Files. I haven't made a decision on that one yet...
I read a lot of fabulous XF fanfic, but there were also a lot of terrible ones. Terrible such as "Mulder asked Scully if she would Marry him and she said yes. They walked down the aisle. They said I Do. Then they kissed. The end." Seriously. Even the worst SG fanfic has been well written with a decent story line and character development. Maybe there exist SG fic that's that bad, but I haven't come across it yet.
Anyway, I went to school for English, worked at bit for Verizon Wireless, now I'm back in school to get my teaching certificate (which is taking for freaking ever) and delivering pizza and managing. I got married, bought a house, and got a second husky within a 30 day period haha. Not recommended! Love my dogs and of course my kitty.
I remember writing stories as young as 8. I wrote a lot until college and then kind of got caught up in adulthood responsibilities. I haven't given up reading though. I crave it.
I'm going to try to get back into writing again. With some SG fanfic of course! I'm a shipper. Not into slasher or making up weird pairings. I probably won't do SamJack established fics. I don't necessarily read those kinds either.
What I loved about the shippiness of XF was that they never really gave into it until the end, so there was always that mystery to what it would be like when they finally did. When it really did happen, it was disappointing (to me at least) because all the shippy stuff leading up to it lost its strength because I would always know what was to happen. Did that make sense?
I loved that you got to see a little of it in SG with Sam and Jack, but those were always when they would end up not remembering or were hallucinated. So the imagination of what if will still remain intact.
Well, I hope that didn't bore you too much. I hope you'll read and review!
