Still alive. Don't expect updates here very often!
Name's MythosMike, or Unit Omicron, or Mike. Whatever floats your boat. I'm a 20s year old Business Professional from the great Eastern Coast of the United States of America. Nice to meet you!
Well, where to begin...I joined this site just before the end of my Sophomore year of Senior High School. At the time, I was a very lonely individual. I didn't have very many friends, my family was going through an extremely successful move to a new home (in which I still live) and I was generally just unsatisfied with my life. I had no real hobbies to fall back on to help improve my mood. I was pretty miserable, even diagnosed with Depression during that summer. One of the worst times of my life. Then, one day after school, about a week before exams, I happened to have a sudden thought in my mind about a game that I had played through with my brother back when I was still in middle school. It was, of course, The Legend of Spyro. The only thing I remembered from it was some sort of black dragoness that I had fallen in love with throughout the series. (Also, my dog's name was Cinder before we renamed her to Zoey...coincidences! XD) My hunger for information insatiable, I dove into the internet to find information about this old childhood memory. I went to a plethora of sites: the Spyro fan wiki, Youtube to watch the ending of DOTD, and others; and that was when I found fan fiction for the first time in my life.
While I will probably never remember my first story that I read on this site, I won't forget reading my first full story the really inspired me to write on my own. The Spyro Chronicles: A New Legacy: SE, by NewLegend1 was what really inspired me to write. During that week of exams, I couldn't stop thinking about the things that I had read in the fan fictions, seen on the wiki, and watched the ending on youtube over and over again. I wanted to gain the same kind of recognition, I wanted to add to that vast archive that I had witnessed. So, the idea for The Spyro and Cynder Adventures was born. I thought...what if Spyro and Cynder hadn't exactly survived the ending of DOTD, what if there were bigger forces at work then Malefor? And thus: The Spyro and Cynder Adventures: Eternal Slumber was born.
I started writing that series, I met new friends through fellow Spyro the Dragon authors, and I generally enjoyed myself; and that continues to this day. I am more content with my life than I have ever been, I feel like a new person Spyro changed my life, and I hope that someday, my writings will help change someone else's life.
Thank you for reading, and long live Spyro.
These people have helped me immensely through their PMs, reviews and general support for my work. Without them, this would not be possible. These are my closest friends that I have made on Fan Fiction. Thank you to everyone on this list.
