Since I hope to become slightly more involved in this site, I felt I should list some things about myself as an author:

My name is Selacha, and I'm a little paranoid, so I won't actually be listing my real name. I'm 18 and live in scenic New England, though oddly enough I hate seafood. Weird. Anyway, after reading a few pieces of fanfiction I decided to give it a shot writing it, and since people seem to enjoy my work I kept on writing it. So here's a few things about me.

First and foremost, I love artwork in every shape and form. Architecture, literature, sculpture, music, drawing, painting, sketching, all of it. That being said, the written word has always held a certain appeal to me, because with only a handful of words you can paint a world the greatest of masters couldn't hope to achieve with paint.

My favorite authors are as follows, followed by the works of theirs that I particularly enjoy:

Eoin Colfer, the writer of the Artemis Fowl series, even if the last couple of books were slightly disappointing;

Terry Goodkindthe writer of the fourteen book long Sword of Truth series, a wonderful if rather dark series for any classic fantasy fan;

Tad Williams, who wrote the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy, some of my absolute favorite fantasy books, though they are rather wordy for anyone who wants immediate and steady action;

J.K. Rowling, who wrote the Harry Potter series, obviously, though I like to pretend that books six and seven never happened;

David Clement-Davies, who wrote my all time favorite book, Fire Bringer;

Douglas Adams,who wrote the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books, which are hilarious, along with the two Dirk Gently books;

Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson series;

H.P. Lovecraft,the well-known author of the Cthulu mythos, though I've never found him to be that scary, just a very talented fiction writer;

D.J. McHale,who wrote the Pendragon series, which surprisingly isn't about King Arthur, but a dimensional travelling boy who saves a number of worlds at crucial moments in their history;

R.A. Salvatore,who is known for creating the beloved Drow elf character Drizzt Do'Urden and the priest Cadderly Bonaduce;

J.R.R. Tolkien,but only for The Hobbit since I just couldn't get into the Lord of the Rings books;

Holly Black,who wrote the Modern Faeire Tales, a trilogy about classical fae in the modern world;

That's about it, at least for those off the top of my head. And since this is FanFiction.net, and the main uses of fan fiction are for noncanon pairings, I'm going to list the odd pairings I happen to support in random fandoms (I could not type that with a straight face):
