Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. Current and Future projects: Resurrexit: Complete. Other than amending ten paragraphs from DH and disregarding the epilogue, for good reason, I have made a small number of insignificant, deliberate tweaks to canon magic. For example, in DH, Rowling limited the scope of Apparition to allow Harry time to escape Voldemort at Godric's Hollow and Malfoy Manor. In Resurrexit, international Apparition is possible. In DH, Hermione's spell seems to break Harry's wand whereas in Resurrexit, normal wands cannot harm one another. Without giving too much else away, I just wanted to signal that these immaterial deviations are intentional. I hope you enjoy the story! Ruin: Abandoned. I get a lot of angry reviews about the fact that this story is listed as complete, but is the first of a trilogy that will never be completed. So, you have been warned. The sequels 'Recovery' and 'Return' will never be finished. What Lies Beneath - Complete. Yes, it's H/Tracey. There has been a lot of talk about a sequel. I'm not going to say never, but I don't have any plans for a sequel. My thoughts on the fic itself: in retrospect, I think it's actually a very dark story, not in the usual Dark!Harry sense where there's lots of blood and sex, but the fact that Harry's completely losing himself. For much of the story, he's stuck in a vicious cycle and there are very few moments where he is genuinely happy. As a result, the usual filler found in many fics is absent, making some parts of the story feel 'rushed'. I don't feel it's rushed, but instead, there is the main plot of Harry vs Voldemort with the 'Knights of Walpurgis' sub-plot flitting in and out of the main plot. I initially considered adding a sup-plot for Blaise Zabini and placing more emphasis on Dean Thomas but in the end, my decision was that there would be no focus on any character other than Harry because I thought it would undermine his peripeteia. As for the epilogue, I felt that a detailed epilogue mapping out exactly what happened to everyone and if/how Harry conquered the Ministry would not work; the former because I wanted to keep the focus on Harry right until the very end and the latter because of the epilogue would probably equal the length of the rest of the story if I properly mapped out the fall of the Ministry. (September 2015) While I can't admit to actively managing this on a regular basis, the yahoo group below contains my old stories (such as 'The Other Side of Hell') that no longer appear on my profile. Warning: I was very, very young when I wrote these and they are now laughable. http:///group/Master_Slytherin/ Review replies: After a period of inadequacy, I will endeavour to reply to most reviews for the foreseeable future. |
