Hello! How are you? Good? Good. If not, well, I hope your day gets better soon.
Okay, now that we’re over that completely awkward welcome, I guess I’ll start. I first found this website four years ago, I think. Or was it three? I’m not entirely sure. Anyway, at that time I was probably ten or eleven years old. Back then, my writing absolutely sucked. But let’s focus on the fact that it doesn’t suck now. Not to brag (though I am proud to say so), I have had a couple of novelist tell me that my writing is actually pretty good. Granted, they weren’t Stephanie Meyer or J.K. Rowling (my idol), or Tolkien, but still. They were published, so it was good enough for me. So I think I’ll go into a back story of how I got here in the first place, alright? Basically, it’ll tell you how I got the chance to read/watch what I have, which has made me want to write/read fan fictions about them.
A couple of years ago, around when I was eleven or twelve, I got into role-playing. On a stupid kid’s game forum, but role-playing nonetheless. And I liked it. I thought it was pretty amazing, actually. I had a ton of fun on that site, and I’m still on there now.
Soon after that, I met two good friends of mine. Call them Sam and Pam, if you will (those are not their names; I simply have a lazy name generator at the moment). Sam and Pam showed me the beauty of anime and manga. Then, the stunning brilliance of face book role-playing. My parents hate that, but I had loved it. I was known as Yori Celestia Kuran, a vampire and queen of all vampires and the Crusnik race.
After my parents got all pissed about it and I finally stopped, I got into Warrior Cats. Another friend, Cora, told me about it and I located the series in my middle school’s library. Naturally, being the book-worm I am and unable to resist a new series, I checked out the first book. And I got lost and scared. I had to read the dang thing three times to get over the weirdness of it, and then a fourth time to understand it all. After that, I was hooked. So much that I joined an RPG site for it. I played as a sleek black tom named Steathclaw, who had a medicine-cat sister named Snowfur. In one RP, Snowfur was mauled by a stray dog because one of the characters was being stubborn and had multiple personalities. I was a well-known RPer for being willing to kill off my own characters, if necessary.
I don’t do much RPing anymore, with my parents hating it and all. But I do watch anime and read manga. My personal favorites are, from the top of my head: Blood, Inuyasha, Death Note, and, yes, Pokemon, though I hardly watch it anymore. I started that stuff when I was eight, with Beyblade, Pokemon, Naruto, etc. Eventually I moved to Inuyasha, the Death Note, and finally dabbled a bit in Blood. I even did a little time with Trinity Blood, Hetalia (don’t remember ANY of it), and Vampire Knight. Cirque Du Freak is among my favorite mangas. But Pokemon will always have a special spot in my heart, as my first anime.
Now, onto YouTube Let’s Players. As you can see, I have one fan fiction of PewDiePie and Cry, known as Fear, a PewDieCry fan fiction. A few years back, I was rendered unable to play games, so I resorted to Let’s Players. I found PewDiePie and the Cry. And that’s just about how it goes. It was just something I ran across, nothing exciting to it.
Now I will move onto the topic my writing. I began to write a while back, when I was in fourth grade. I never took it seriously though. As a matter of fact, I’d have had a heart-attack if I ever tried something like this back then. However, in sixth grade, that changed. I finished the Harry Potter series that year, and the gave me a huge, greatly needed confidence boost. I became a perfectionist when writing, always striving for a perfect story. When I was eleven, I got the idea to write stories on my own, rather than simply perfecting writing prompts in school. My first story I ever wrote was called Future’s Hour, and it was about the future’s video games, which could bring you into the game’s world. However, two players get stuck and have to finish the whole game to escape.
… I never finished it …
ANYWAY! All of that eventually led me here, to fanfiction.net, the best site I’ve ever had the honor to use.
So, now I’ll introduce you to me. I’ll fill out a little application-type thing for you.
Name: I won’t tell you that. Sorry, it’s too weird. However, for the sake of the site, my name is Fyrest.
Nicknames: Ash, Fyre, or your own made-up one.
Hobbies: I tend to jump rope. I suppose web design and graphic design count as well, but I wouldn’t suggest asking me for anything just yet.
History: Irish, French, Italian, Canadian, Polish, German, Cherokee, and maybe Swedish.
Likes: Well, I suppose I enjoy reading and writing a great deal of fanfictions. I like to imagine my life if I were a YouTuber. I also like to pretend my life is more interesting than it is. Finally, video games. Period.
Loves: Writing, of course. Reading as well. So listed under likes, but whatever. Harry Potter, The Host (Stephanie Meyer), The Walking Dead, and winter. I really like to take a walk in the spring.
Dislike: Writing plot-less smut. End of story.
Hates: Neon colors. Also, I despise people who try to get people to hate whomever they hate. Lastly, bullies. If you don’t like a fan fiction, for example, don’t tell them their story is crap, or that they shouldn't write at all. Some people have trouble, and it takes a lot of courage to do something like this.
Fears: Spiders, falling from high places, snakes, bees, hornets, wasps, zombies (surprises me), death (sort of). I’m not too brave, huh?
Habits: Biting my nails. Eh, old habits die hard, right? I also tend to get super lazy around February. I make bad jokes on Valentines Day.
Dream Job: To be a part of a publishing agency, as the person who decides who gets published.
Dreams: I would love to finish my novel within the next two years. Also to get a contract with an agency.
