Author has written 8 stories for Powerpuff Girls.
I'm an aspiring author who loves to write to escape the pressures of everyday life and maybe sometimes giving my lovely readers a brief escape too. After all- isn't that ultimately what being an "author" is truly about?

I've been getting a lot of questions lately and I feel bad I haven't been able to answer them properly or in a timely fashion so... here goes XD
How long have you been writing? Can I see your older work?
Since the Stones Ages... no really I've been on this site on and off starting from middle school...but I was making up characters and stories -according to my family at least- almost as soon as I learned to read- I didn't like an ending or a character's fate... I'd make up my own. I didn't like a sequel- I'd decide it didn't count and make up my own. So I guess one could argue I've been writing stuff down, illustrating and making up characters... probably since I could pick up a pen.
My older pieces pre "The Block" are gone now... the site doesn't have an "archive" function which would be AWESOME by the way *coughhintcough* but... take my word for it: Y'all aren't missing much. XD Sometimes it's... healing to kind of do a purge of sorts: Especially when... semi bad memories are attached to them. *shrug* Art is healing in many ways- doesn't matter the form the art takes.
Why do you write fanfiction? Don't you want to get published?
I write fanfiction for one big reason. Because I "can" and there's no outside pressures concerning it: I can write fanfiction for the sheer joy of it- the joy of "writing"- It's one of my hobbies just like some people knit, some people ice skate, some people fix cars- I write about people that do all three haha. I also draw, read, go on outdoor adventures- someday I plan on getting my scuba license and going cage diving with the Great White Sharks of South Africa...why... because I can! ( If one couldn't already tell I am a huge lover of marine life... were it not for an unfortunate encounter with a dissected fish- my plan for years had been to become a marine biologist to study...what else Sharks XD )
I would LOVE to get published but I'm not ready. I'm not even close. "The X' Chronicles" is my most ambitious writing project I've ever even "conceived" and planned out start to finish. As I've been fond of saying: If I can finish this monster- I can complete anything.
You take so long in between updates- Why are your chapters always so long?
My chapters are as long as needed to tell the story: Some will be longer, others will be shorter- In As Time Goes By's case especially I consider each "Act" or now it would be each "chapter" an individual "episode" of my "written anime" -- most anime scripts are multiple pages long if you look at them XD: But yes... I know there are times I get carried away... and that's what deleted scenes are for. I promise though- everything always comes together in the end... even if it's slightly disjointed like "Caged" at the moment haha XD
Why do you write for the Powerpuff Girls?
Simple. I like it. XD And the fandom is a wonderfully welcoming place and the talented writers here are utterly amazing. Be sure to check out
"Lycan" by Mrs. RoseGold: An absolute gem and a current favorite of mine- especially if you like horror and if you're reading" As Time Goes By"... I'm going to assume you're okay with horror in some capacity XD - not to mention her other works are fabulous!
"Wild Eyes" by Dinosaurs R Dead ( If you're a Greens shipper this is a MUST)
"Misconceptions" by Sandstorm3D ( My absolute favorite PPG fanfiction of all time: I think I've read it through beginning to end five times at this point)
Are you part of any other fandoms?
I haven't really come up with anything for anything else: the muse hasn't tapped my shoulder yet. I adore Miraculous Ladybug and have only just recently discovered the magic of Steven Universe ( In my defense... I don't watch TV... like ever. When I have free time I... write or draw mostly) - but I'm also a big anime fan: I attend Anime Boston every year- ( I was Blossom two years in a row haha ) though when it comes to them I'm more a fan of the classics: Sailor Moon is my favorite manga of all time and Sailor Moon Crystal is a dream come true finally doing my beloved manga justice- the original anime was good... but the manga blows it out of the water sorry.
I also once had a live action movie Hollywood esque adapatation script for Card Captor Sakura I was working on but I abandoned it due to the block. Though I still think of all the "magical girl" anime adaptations Hollywood could do... Card Captor Sakura would be the most plausible...and the most fun. But I'm biased XD
I'm also if you can't tell this from my writing: one of the biggest Disney fans you'll ever meet. I do little Disney tributes a "lot"- you just have to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt to find them XD- Well that and movies in general: I find film one of the most fascinating arts: a true melding of both written word and visual art combined to make a masterpiece... or a disaster... depending on... the film in question.
I used to write for the Legend of Zelda and Pokemon (Black and White ) fandoms but I'm not really much of a gamer anymore. I still adore the games as a whole but I fell out of the "fandom" aspect during the "Writing Blackout".
What is the "Writing Blackout"?
The "Writing Blackout" was what I call the worst bout of Writer's Block I have ever had- where I found I couldn't write. I couldn't make myself write anymore. The love I had for it was sucked out of me. And it lasted... for three long years. The only reason I broke out of it was because my best friend a.k.a. the mysterious editor of course sat me down and told me to try one more time.
And well... I did.
Act 0: "New Beginnings" was the first major "narrative" I had written in almost three years- everything else had been clumsy snippets and or outlines. Or very...very short pieces. Was my hand shaking when I had the final edit complete and my cursor was over "submit"-- oh God Yes.
What is your writing process? Do you have any tips?
This is one I've gotten in numerous forms: I don't... really have a "process" per say: One thing I will swear by however is MUSIC. I write as if I'm watching a movie in my head. If I don't have a "soundtrack"... I won't be able to write. It's that simple. I've been like that my whole life- most of my writing "plot bunnies" stem from song in some way or form. Every major "cast member" of my work has a "theme song". And I swear by movie scores, television scores, Anime scores and in some cases Video Game scores. Trivia Time: The "Squid" attack in Act 0 was written to a combination of the "Okami OST" and "Mulan" Score. Very odd combo I know. But in my strange mind it worked.
But when it comes to the actual writing process: I swear by outlines. And you don't have to go as nuts as I do with them ( As Time Goes By's outline is close to... forty plus pages long... and there are times I add-change still to this day ) but the biggest tip I can offer is this one: Have an idea how you're going to end before you start writing it.
An ending is your goal. If you don't know how something's going to end... even if it's only an idea... the rest of your story is going to stall. It's happened to me over the years more times than I can count. You have to have an ending. Even if it ends up changing as you write it: Your work still has a direction to work towards. I used to have a "I'm gonna write as I go along and the story will write itself!" mentality. No it won't. Trust me. Sooner or later it'll stall and then you'll be left staring at a blank screen- crying and lamenting optional. It's why I write outlines now and I can just see my college professor smirking now. I learned my lesson Professor. You were right I was wrong. No more blind writing for Carrie.
ANYWAY! I'll also give the somewhat cliche advice of never giving up- and write anyway even if someone tries to tell you that "you can't write" blah blah- I have the perfect retort for it actually. : "If you're so sure I can't write let's see your literary masterpiece then." Trust me. It'll shut most people up pretty quick. .The important thing is you're "trying"- you have an idea and you're making it come to life. No one has any right to judge you having the courage to do that. A story is something that comes from within you: Everyone's got one- just not everyone has the courage to share it. It's something to be celebrated not ridiculed.
Can I make fanworks based on your work?
Well first off I'm gonna go cry because I'm so touched- and my answer is absolutely! It's every author's dream after all ha ha XD - no seriously all I ask is you credit me. Other than that- go for it- Send me a link for sure! I'd love to see it! :D

The X' Chronicles/Other Projects/ Powerpuff Girls in General
What's your favorite PPG episode?
I don't have one. I have a list. XD It was my favorite show growing up and I thoroughly enjoy it to this day. Top three are : "Speed Demon", "Imaginary Fiend" and " The Rowdyruff Boys" tied with "Abra-Cadaver" (... this was not always a children's show... no no it was not. )
Who was your favorite character? Your favorite villain?
This should be rather obvious but my favorite character was definitely Blossom - My favorite villain was Him. He scared the living daylights out of me when I was a kid. ( Bet y'all were expecting me to say Brick huh? XD )
What are your thoughts on the reboot?
They're not appropriate for public viewing. However in some quick points:
I know a shameless cash grab when I see one. I went to school focusing on media studies among other things.
Blossom would never abandon her sisters because a place was dirty. Buttercup would never openly beat her sister. Bubbles is not a dumb blonde. I don't think any of the new crew watched the old show. Or if they did they decided they could do it better. With magic staplers.
Miss Bellum's removal is infuriating. The reason for her removal is rage inducing.
If I wanted to see old memes I'd look on my Tumblr archive. From say.. four years ago.
And no five to six year old child- joking or not should EVER be portrayed twerking.
That is all I have to say on the subject. I can also make it quite clear none of these "new powers" of the girls ( pink stapler... REALLY) will be present in A.T.G.B. or.. any aspect of this reboot. If anything does coincide- it is a sheer coincidence I can assure you. I'd had the outline of X' Team's characters and powers done WAY before I even heard of this reboot.
Where did you get the idea for "As Time Goes By", "Caged"- "Hate, The Thing" Etc?
Whoo Boy, this is a long one. Individually these all came about in... very different ways XD
Well first and foremost- As Time Goes By stems from... a lot of things. But that story is pretty long: I will say however As Time Goes By was NOT first. What actually came first was *drumroll* The "sequel" - What is now As Time Goes By's sequel " World on Fire" was in reality my FIRST PPG story ( Never released- still in production- most of what I had back then has been gutted anyway) . And I had written a single short story called "New Beginnings" ( irony- obviously that's gone now) and "B-Move Horrors" to act as it's "prequel" and to introduce the fact the Rowdyruff Boys were... working with the Puffs. I released a few other short stories- and... then I realized... I was liking the "background info" more and more. And one conversation with my editor later... and she and I were both in agreement that I'd accidentally created a new story and if I didn't write it "World on Fire" was going to be utterly impossible to concentrate on thus... hello "As Time Goes By" -- A.K.A. Book one of the "X' Chronicles. My "anime" sequel to the original Powerpuff Girls.
"Caged" is actually my second oldest piece- despite it being technically "my newest" And... you're all going to laugh but it came from a dream. No. I am not kidding. A bit of background is needed here: "Frozen" was something one could not escape for almost a full year. "Let it Go" is one of my favorite Disney songs ( despite the fact.. I can no longer watch the movie... after being forced to watch it so many times I can watch it with my eyes closed. ) And as I had my PPG stories on the brain... for the longest time my "Head Canon" esque voice actress for the Pink Puff was Idina Menzel and "Let it Go" was her song. - "Caged" was originally titled "The Snow Queen" and... it was a Frozen Rip off. There I said it. I admit it. Blossom pulled an Elsa- lost control of her ice powers- injured her sisters- went nuts and ran away- Him took over. And oh yeah she had a romance with Brick and he had to go find her. And they also had a kid Brick didn't know about because she was pregnant when Buttercup and her started fighting because "Blossom was dating a Ruff- he was bad" - Bubbles got in the middle and...cue "Let it Go!" I'm dangerous stay away from me!!! And her hiding in the mountains for five years before Brick was sent to go find this "Snow Queen" that kept attacking people who got too close to her mountain -... I'm not proud of myself but in my defense I was sleep deprived. -- "Caged" was me basically keeping the "background" behind "Snow Queen" and getting rid of everything else- because I DID like the romance story ( The Reds meeting back up and falling in love OUTSIDE of Townsville) - so a little tweaking- change to first person and voila- "Caged" was born.
"Hate" and "The Thing" have the simplest explanation of them all. I am a night owl. I saw a prompt on Tumblr. I liked it. I wrote it at two in the morning. I was asked to continue. I put on my thinking cap and came up with a scenario and then I discovered Buttercup as a kick butt, tattoo covered, jungle spelunking geologist was simply the greatest thing ever and she needed her own story.
Plus... I am becoming Butchercup trash lately with The X' Chronicles and... "Caged" shhhh *whispers* I ship it.
What do the Girls/Boys look like? Do they look human?
Every single PPG story of mine features the Powerpuff Girls and Rowdyruff Boys with human appendages- fingers, toes, noses, ears etc. for two reasons.
1) I have a theory as to why they looked like that in the show in the first place in the course of the show. This will be discussed in later Acts of A.T.G.B but in short summary: I think X' itself is what did it. In the episode where they are "normal" little girls... they have human appendages. Fusion Fall- an approved CN spin off- they have grown up looking human. "City of Clipsville" was revealed to be a joke/parody- not Canon.
2) In order to write out fight scenes/action scenes in general I have to storyboard. I can't draw the original PPG style. I've tried the results are frightening. Therefore I draw them with my style in said storyboards. That includes fingers, toes ears and noses. Thus. "Human."
Why does As Time Goes By take place in the past? How old are the girls/boys? Aren't the girls older?
As Time Goes By (And the X' Chronicles in General ) takes place if the girls entered school in 1998 at "five years old" ( 1998 is when the show premiered- it made sense *shrug*) : However, there's no established timeline in the show- I had to make one of my own in a somewhat logical way: ( Think of the Simpsons- the kids haven't aged in how many seasons? - 365 days in a year- could could in theory equal hundreds of evil villain schemes / monsters: Or Miraculous Ladybug which is also not shown in chronological order) For example: Despite seasons taking place between them I have the Rowdyruff Boys being "killed" and resurrected in about... three months give or take despite it being "seasons" apart in the show. Their "birthday" episode I have in my canon actually took place much "later" in that year.
As such: The team is 16 years old currently but they don't believe they have an actual "birthday" - They choose to celebrate their "creation" in the summer (end of school year) as that's just easier to keep track of and they decide they'll just be another year older come the new school year. The Boys don't really celebrate their birthday as... it's not too pleasant for them to remember. But they choose to think of in the beginning of the summer: The girls on their part choose to celebrate at the end.
Arguably the girls are older. But with no way of knowing for sure how "old" the Rowdyruff Boys were when they were "resurrected" -were they the same? Had they aged by a few months? Were they older to begin with?: The Team and the city in general to save themselves a headache just call them the same age and call it a day. They were "created" eleven years ago: Day doesn't matter.
Brick getting his license was a particular headache because some documents DO require a birthday and according to some official records the team is indeed ... "eleven years old". This is extremely irritating but nothing they can do can change it.
Is it just me- or are the Ruffs/ Puffs "weaker" than they are in the show?
I can see some may think the Teams' powers have been "toned down" a bit but allow me to explain my reasoning a bit- Picture a "newborn" vampire ala most paranormal/horror fiction- they are unstoppable, their powers are "raw" and "new" and they are more or less demi Gods- but... "as time goes by" their powers... even out a bit- they are no longer... unstoppable tanks... they're still powerful... but they have reasonable limits- and this is what I believe X would work and how it does work in the X' Chronicles- the team's powers have developed over time- and the X' in their systems is more integrated. Their powers have thus... "calmed" slightly- still strong but other factors in their individual powers take precedence. - Boomer's speed. Butch's shield. Brick's fire. Blossom's ice. Bubbles' screams. Buttercup's own strength.
The team still are extremely strong- and most weapons or attacks will not injure them physically- but extreme cases they are capable of being hurt. They are still biologically human- just... "enhanced" if you will. The reason Blossom was "shot" in Act 0 for example is not because it was a "bullet" so much as it was "close range"- which no matter the enhancements- a bullet fired at close range is inevitably more dangerous for anyone no matter the caliber or other factors- physics was not on Miss Utonium's side. It was a painful nuisance- I.E. she dug it out of the more or less "HOLE" in her hand herself.
Is So and So "insert character name" going to be in As Time Goes By?
I've tried to incorporate as much of the original cast as possible. If they haven't shown up yet- chances are they will! The only three "canon" characters definitely NOT showing up are: "Elmer" - he moved away- people move after all. -- "Fuzzy Lumpkins" Sorry Fuzzy fans but I think the guy moved on in the show itself- why else did the Rowdyruff Boys have his cabin for a while? -- and "The Boogie Man": I for the life of me couldn't figure out how to fit him in logically- if anyone has any ideas feel free to PM them because his episode is definitely a favorite of mine.
Are any characters from the comics, PPGD or CN Universe in general going to be in As Time Goes By?
Not really. The Powerpunk Girls' appearance was an easter egg of sorts and a nifty way to introduce the training room and show the girls' strengths off when the last Act they'd gotten their behinds kicked by a Humbolt Squid. PPGD is a beautifully illustrated fanfiction but I will not be incorporating elements from it. I have my own PPG universe that's complicated enough ha ha
But, the original show had such a large vibrant cast there was no need really to incorporate characters from other shows- there were so many "nameless" background characters that voila- I had a cast already it's like maybe Mr. Walter and Janey Believe were always there- they just hadn't been given names: Those huge crowds and such you know? XD
As for other shows in the CN universe... time will tell. Who knows. ;)
*I will say flat out however that Dexter is NOT in The X' Chronicles- he wouldn't fit at all and him and Blossom are one of the few shippings...I just really don't like... - I'm not a fan of... crossover pairings in general. I only like "one" and... that's not being introduced for a while... like "sequel" awhile. And.. I ship Dexter with Olga... or Mandark... or no one. Maybe his computer. Maybe he programs himself a wife like Plankton ala Spongebob. who knows. That'd be hilarious. But it's probably already been done XDD *
Your work is pretty "color coded" - Do you only ship that?
Hmm... I got this question a while ago but... yes and no. It really depend on the work in question: Am I a hardcore Reds shipper- absolutely- it's been one of my top general OTP for years not just PPG- as such I myself have a hard time shipping them with anyone else- it's kind of a personal thing I don't know if I'd ever write a non Reds fiction... I wouldn't know how to be brutally honest XD it might be an interesting challenge but... who knows. I'm a fan of Boomercup ( adorable )- and Butchubbles- (just as adorable) - I've seen some great Brickercup- ( Just because I don't write it doesn't mean I won't read it XD ) there's a fan artist on Dev art who's made Butch/Blossom stuff that's super cute - but in general I don't participate in "shipping wars" as a general rule XD
Ship who you want just don't yell at me about mine. That's my motto.
As for non Ruff/Puff's- I'll ship anything: Except Brick/Princess... I really don't like Princess with any of the rowdies to be brutally honest. Also... I do NOT like Ace/Buttercup. Um. No. Just no. Not for me. The age difference... that's just one problem I have with this pairing. Again it is personal opinion only however. Ship what you wish- just don't scream at me for mine ;P
Robin Snyder/ Mike Believe is my favorite non RuffPuff ship though XD if y'all just couldn't tell by now.
(WARNING SPOILERS FOR A.T.G.B. AHEAD- proceed with caution)
Speaking of Mike Believe- Was he a psychic in the show? Did I miss an episode? Why'd you make him such a big deal compared to the other supporting cast?
No one knows. *wags fingers ominously* - No really- One of the biggest things that annoyed me as a kid about his one episode, "Imaginary Fiend", is we never got an explanation about "Patches". None. Even other "monster of the day" got SOME explanation- they were monsters! Most of which the viewer found out later on in the show that they all stemmed from "Monster Island" ( kind of weak but this was a later season- and it was still an explanation) "Imaginary Fiend" was honestly the episode I genuinely always wanted a sequel too- even if "Patches" just showed up again tormenting another kid- he'd still have been confirmed to be a "villain" a "monster" - it was one of the few PPG episodes... while a favorite in everything else ( it is number two on my favorites list) I simply hated the ending. Patches was blown up like a balloon and sent flying- where'd he go? Imaginary friend jail? Explanation? None? Okay- that's irritating. That's no ending!
HOW did this kid somehow make his imaginary friend come to life and INTERACT with the outside world?! Can ALL kids in Townsville do that!? And then the kid vanishes. Gone. Never see him in the show again not even in the background- (like other classmates) - he's just 'gone' - to my knowledge he's not in the reboot: but Robin is- another one episode character who nonetheless had a pretty big impact. - they... made her sound like she was... *ahem* mildly intoxicated but she was in it regardless. ( Again what sense of humor are these writers trying to appeal to? Kids aren't going to understand that joke... and adults won't be watching this nine times out of ten...)
And so... One of the beautiful things about the PPG fandom is this: You as a writer can do "anything- and So- I came up with my own theory.
Little Mike Believe was actually responsible for creating Patches himself however accidentally... it would very much explain his "panic" and the almost "resignation" he showed when he was blamed for it. Especially if he KNEW he'd done it- even if he didn't understand "How" he'd done it- what five year old could understand if he had a "gift" like that or even be expected to control it?
He knew those girls were his only shot at stopping something he'd more or less lost control of- so when they created their "own" imaginary friend to fight it off- notice how they were speaking "out loud" and he would have been able to "hear them" and what they were "describing"- and what if he indeed made it so that that the "new imaginary friend" was literally fighting Patches off. The girls thought they were "seeing" their friend- but the room was nonetheless being physically effected- a fight was happening. The fact he apologized afterwards was strange too- yes he had "brought" Patches in but he'd only wanted a friend... and he'd made one. Had he "known" his imaginary friend was going to come to life? Or it was real? Couldn't he have just... imagined him away then? Why then would he apologize?
Was Patches just another "monster-of-the-day" who took advantage of a lonely kid who only wanted a friend? Was Patches supposed to be "Him?" ( VERY interesting theory I read once- and would make some sense in the lore of the show- ) - OR was it something else...how did the Powerpuff Girls' imaginary friend come to life as well? Was that another unspoken power they had...or was it even them... doing the fighting in the first place? * steeples fingers* Makes you think don't it? :P
And it's a lot of fun to write with XD
WHAT DID YOU MEAN BY "BRIDE" AT THE END OF ACT 3!?!??!!? HIM WANTS TO MARRY BLOSSOM!!?!?!?!?! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT????????
Oh boy... I opened up a can of worms with this one. Okay my lovelies-there's no need to panic: No. H.I.M. has NO interest in marrying a mortal girl. The only being that creature would want to marry is probably its reflection. And even that might not be worthy enough compared to the "real thing"
Trust me at this point in time Blossom is much in agreement with all of you- she's terrified. She has no idea what the creature meant either. Her sisters have no idea it said that- they're under the impression it said something else ( "Nothing Personal little Blossom") and she intends to keep it that way. How much longer she can keep that fiction up however... is the question.
BUT consider this : Bride can be a very subjective term. What we in contemporary times think of when we think of a bride now is VERY different in both other cultures and through history.
Where did the "sushi" come from? How are they getting into Townsville unseen? Will there be any other sorts of "monsters" in As Time Goes By?
The "sushi" patrol as the X' Team warily terms the mutated marine life is the result of an accident at an "oil refinery" off the coast about forty plus miles away from Townsville that occurred in the summer of 2007 just before the team entered high school and those involved dumping an unknown substance into the ocean. The Team as a whole knows little to nothing about what caused the mutations: or anything else about what was dumped. They also have no "proof" save their own inferences.
As to how they go about unspotted before it's too late: Boomer hinted at this in Act 3:part 3 - (Chapter 8) - the creatures are indeed using the sewage systems- and a series of "tunnels" from Monster Island to Townsville that the mayor's office has ordered closed off indefinitely until the "Sushi" problem is under control: It's been two or so years since a "traditional" monster attack: The girls couldn't handle it- as Blossom stated in Act 0 ( Chapter 1 )
Monster Island is thus "supposed" to be keeping their "untested youth" in check. Whether they will be following through with that treaty... is yet another question.
Well that's it for now: Any more questions pop up feel free to PM or leave a review I normally answer as many as I can in my chapters but sometimes I know I miss some so check back occasionally if your question hasn't been answered:
Best of Luck on all your writing adventures my lovelies!
As Time Goes By:
Sometimes...all it takes is a single moment.
A single... Choice.
It was a simple concept. Good vs. Evil. Puff vs. Ruff.
Until one moment...one choice changed everything.
Now join the Powerpuff Girls and Rowdyruff Boys known collectively as the X-Team as they balance being teenage super heroes with the “joys” of high school: But with the added trials of hormones, jealous mop topped stalkers, cheeky vigilantes and those "fishy" mutants that may or may not have had to do with the that "secret" testing in the Pacific... growing up X’ only just got harder.
[A story to be told in 30 "acts"- in other words a written"anime" sequel to the Powerpuff Girls.]
Genre: Drama/Romance ( Suspense and Horror - but ff.net makes you only choose two so... drama's all those things...)
Rating: HIGH T ( teenagers tend to swear... and think about sex a lot. And do sex a lot. Also super powered teenagers tend to be violent) Also Horror... lots of horror.
"One is a Prisoner. One is a fighter. One is a survivor":
In a world run by a manifestation of pure evil the three sisters once known as the "Powerpuff Girls" have vanished. One is trapped in the gilded cage of the Demon Lord's court. One will fight until her very last breath. One is simply trying to stay alive. And three young men are willing to do anything it takes to help them and undo their own mistakes.
"One did it for love. One did it for revenge. One did it to belong."
Rating: T (High T: This is the Apocalypse here: Violence, sexual Content - Will be M later on )
The Horrors of Writers Block:
A perspective from someone who's been there:
Writer's Block is the worst plague for any writer: whether you're just beginning, aspiring, or a professional and after my experience I can honestly say I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
I have discovered the only way to beat Writers Block is to basically stick it where it hurts it most and write something else. ANYTHING else. Seriously- just write anything- even if its a few pieces of dialogue- Go on Tumblr and find a prompt ( beautiful site for that ) or go peruse forums: heck write a parody, an alternate universe, ANYTHING - the important thing and I can't stress this enough is: Just. Keep. Writing. Even if its not "publishable" - just write. I have folders and folders filled with drabbles alone- You have to starve it out: If it can't feed on your creative spirit than it will wither and crawl back in its hole and stay there.
It can be a horrible curse but I can assure you- you will overcome it: It might seem impossible, you might feel discouraged, upset- want to give up completely but I say to you now... don't. You will beat it. You will make the magic come alive again. Because there is no greater magic than the power of written word- no matter what type, genre, word count: it doesn't matter.
You will succeed.
And it will be great.
Your heroes will get their happy endings. Your villains will be vanquished. Your world will be saved.
Or maybe not. Maybe the exact opposite will happen and the villains will prevail and the hero fail: Its your choice after all. You are after all the writer.
The Block is an evil demon... but it can be vanquished.
