Name: V-rcingetorix, but you can call me Chuck.

Occupation: Professor of Biology, musical mercenary, Lab worker, liberator of tasty snacks, and barbecue aficionado.

Hobbies: Violin, music, entomology research, books of various kinds, games (Minecraft, 7 Days to Die, XCOM2, etc.) and photography. Writing should also be on that list, but it seems obvious at this point. Cooking should be mentioned here as well, barbecue and so forth.

Favorite books: Tolkien is at the top of my list, followed by C.S. Lewis, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and other classical literature. The Thrawn trilogy by Timothy Zahn is an incredible display of comprehensive worldbuilding, and I have enjoyed Sanderson's literary expertise. At the same time I am a professional author of research papers; maintaining the skills required for fact and fiction are a delightful challenge.

Reason for writing: Initially, to become a better writer. I picked up editing fanfics and writing my own as a way to improve, and to fix what i viewed as a mistake on EA's part for Mass Effect 3. Needless to say while I still dislike EA's storytelling capacity, I have enjoyed many happy hours playing Mass Effect and writing my own stories.
