"Not a seeker?" he asked inching closer slowly. "Most seekers like to show off. Too ostentatious." "Alright. Beaters" "Too violent." "And chasers?" I caught it then, his tone suddenly becoming too interested in my answer.

Straightening up, I narrowed my eyes at him. "I know exactly what you're trying to do Wood. You think that because you made your accent thicker I'm going to melt like all of the other girls. Well that doesn't work on me." I jabbed a finger at his chest and pulled it back as if I had been scalded when I realised that he still wasn't wearing a shirt.

"Let's make a bet." As he straightened up at my words, I knew that he was interested. "If I can disprove this rubbish that only you and Cho believe in then you have to leave me alone. Completely. This was originally a short story, but kept expanding until it's more of a series, not quite a chapter book. It's about my character Amber and how she grows from a shy, insecure girl to a brave young woman who knows she's worth something, thanks to a particular friendly, redheaded prankster.
