Two thousand years ago, an impossible birth occurred, introducing the world to the most important human being to ever walk this earth. He came with a mission, and that mission involved you. He lived a sinless life and died for you, but the story didn’t end there. Three days later, he rose the dead, adding to the many impossible actions he performed. This man’s name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who came, lived a perfect life, and died a horrible death, taking all the punishment that we deserve on himself so that you wouldn’t have to. Why? Because he loves us. Jesus loves us without conditions. After all, there is no greater love than someone laying down their life for another (John 15:13). Even when the people closest to you abandon you, God will never leave you (Psalm 27:10). And all that God wants us to do is believe in what Jesus did for us (2 Corinthians 5:15), turn from our sinful ways (Matthew 4:17), and let Him into our lives so we can have a relationship with Him (Revelation 3:20). Jesus will come into the messed up parts of your life and make clean them up for good, transforming your life as only He can (1 John 1:9). Jesus will never force his way in, though. He wants to be invited in. Maybe you’ve invited other people, drugs, alcohol, pornography, or bought a lot of stuff in the hopes that it will distract you from the mess. Or maybe you used to have Jesus in your life, but now you only engage with Him when you need something. The mess is still there, though, and the only person who can fix it is Jesus, who is waiting with His arms wide open for you. All it takes is one conversation with Him, one prayer telling God that you believe in your heart that He raised Jesus from the dead and your life will be forever changed. You’ll be saved. (Romans 10:9). And tomorrow is not promised, so the time to act is now.
And don’t take my word for it. Read the Bible yourself, which is actually God’s words, and see what it says. Check out the Bible verses in parentheses above. Find a Christian church in your area where you can serve God with other like-minded people. Find fellowship with Christians, and you can even PM me if you want to talk or have a question. Also, tell someone that you are a Christian (someone who believes in what Jesus did and follows Him) because of what Matthew 10:32 says. But along with reading the Word of God yourself on a daily basis and attending church, praying to God directly on your knees is very important. God is loving and He wants you to communicate with Him 24/7 and grow in a relationship with Him.
Remember, God's always about relationship, not religion. The Bible isn't a book of rules, but the most romantic story ever of a God loving his children. His greatest command isn't do this or that, but love me. All God wants us to do is be in love with Him. ~ Francis Chan
