The Unofficial Biography
My name is Megan.
I am twenty-four years old, an opera singer, and a would-be force of nature who is still just young enough and stupid enough to believe I can change the world.
I believe that words give voice to our thoughts and dreams, while music provides the colors. And as these two mediums bring me the most joy, in my perfect universe I would travel the world singing opera every night and writing novels all day long about dashing heroes and empowered heroines falling in love.
Romance is essential to being happy; and I’m not ashamed to say I love reading trashy romance novels as much as I enjoy a good, thick ‘War & Peace’ epic.
I used to write fan fiction constantly while in high school and in the first year or so of college. Life unexpectedly got in the way of this, and it has been several years since I last posted anything on this site. It is my hope that I can slowly regain the fan base that meant so much to me in the past, and also start exercising the writing muscles again in my brain.
Feel free to send me messages about absolutely anything; I love hearing from my readers. It is my sincerest wish to reconnect with all of you.
A few of my stories I’m going to rewrite and revamp; but I promise I’ll leave the originals as they are for you to see too. Because I want everyone to see my evolution as a writer; the good, the bad, and the ugly too. I want other writers to see it’s okay to make mistakes in the beginning as you grow and learn the art.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to hear from you!
News From The Writer’s Desk:
November 27, 2011
I'm falling back into an easier rhythm, which is great! The writing seems to really be coming along; Chapter Eight was posted today for 'In Search of Eden', and Chapter Nine is coming soon. The story is really picking up some steam, and the first big climactic moment is about to happen and set everything in motion. So watch for that. If you haven't read it yet, now is the perfect time to start!
On the personal front, I have a few weeks of busy work, and then a brief trip to New York City for an audition. I figure there will be nothing better than being in New York at Christmas time. I fully plan to act like a tourist and see the Rockafeller Center tree and go shopping on Fifth Avenue. (Window shopping more like it...not like I'll be buying Tiffany's for myself any time soon. Haha!)
So stay tuned. And I hope everyone has a good start to their Holiday season!
