Author has written 10 stories for Twilight. Hi, I'm retired mum of two grown up daughters who have long flown the nest. I live in Surrey, England, but I'm originally from West London. I caught the Fan Fiction bug after I 'discovered' Twilight, in the autumn of 2011. I got hooked on the films, the man and Fan Fiction not long after. The Counsellor was my first attempt at writing anything longer than an essay. It's a love story with a twist. I dedicate this to all people I've met either in real life or on the internet through the fandom. My second story 'CSI Seattle WA' is dedicated to Steve and Mary Blair, who introduced me to the delights of Grissom and Co. while I was staying with them in Sydney. This story is still definitely more Twilight than CSI though. My fourth story is CSI Connecticut, the sequel to CSI Seattle. I had so many requests to carry on the original story and eventually gave in to pressure. My third story 'Dreams and Fantasies' started off as a bit of fun, imagining what it would be like if someone actually had to live the fantasies of the people they met, but the story developed into something else. Still a lot of fun, but with added drama and plenty of angst. My fifth story, Mods and Rockers, is set in 1964 in England. The 1960's is a decade that fascinates me as so much was happening then. It's an exciting story and a history lesson at the same time. My sixth story is Mysterious Graffiti which is set in Seattle and is about a guy who paints murals around the city but for an unusual reason. It came 2nd in the annual Twilight FanFic Awards 2018 and 3rd in the TwiFic Fandom Awards. My seventh story, Secrets and Spies, is a story about industrial espionage in the technology world where Edward doesn't know who to trust, especially Bella's character. While I was writing it, a development I predicted would happen actually came true which is weird! My latest tale is The Vampire on East Forty Six Street. I had a lot of requests to write another vampire story after Mysterious Graffiti as they are few and far between. I was very happy to oblige. The idea was inspired by the link between Edward's transformation happening during the Spanish 'Flu pandemic and the Covid pandemic. It was an opportunity to good to ignore. I hope you enjoy the story as it unfolds. I love reading and responding to your reviews and a sincere thank you to everyone who takes the time to do this. It really is a joy to receive them and also it's a necessary part of the route to becoming a better writer. Thanks to everyone who has recommended my stories on The International House of FanFiction (RIP), A Different Forest, Rob Attack, The Lemonade Stand (blushing), TwiFanFiction, and numerous Facebook pages - I'm truly grateful for your support. Happy reading, Joan - aka Michaelmas54 |
