"Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, but with great and strong purpose in your heart" -Gordon B. Hinckley
I am a mom and a teacher, in my opinion the best jobs ever. Being a mom means I have to keep time available for my wee ones, because I never know when they will need something, however I also never know when they will be occupied with toys or take an extra long nap, so sometimes I play the violin, bake, or paint. Sometimes I write. I will always try to write with a purpose, so watch for what my characters are learning or teaching.
All my stories are rated K or K-plus, and most of my reviews say, "aww, how sweet!" even when I was going for drama or suspense. Oh well. I guess that is what I get for spending most of my time around people under the age of 5.
The awesomest reviews tell me specific things you like or don't like, correct errors in the writing or tell me if the humor works. But even a brief "nice story" review makes me happy!
My favorite of my own stories so far is Wands.
I have been writing mostly Harry Potter stuff, but I honestly have more enthusiasm for the Tolkien world...I think the HP style is just easier to imitate and there is more freedom to create my own nonsensical ideas about magic.
My goal with each story is to have it stand alone; you shouldn't need to read them in a specific order for them to make sense (that being said, New Perspective really is best if read directly after Lily By Any Other Name.)
The chronological order of my Harry Potter stories is as follows:
A Musical Muggle Meets Magic
Wands (starts here and ends after the end of Malfoys, Weasleys, and Underestimated Magic with some spoilers.)
The Hat's Jealousies
Parcel of Tongue
Lily by Any Other Name
New Perspective (overlaps with A Lily By Any Other Name)
Malfoys, Weasleys, and Underestimated Magic
Scorpius in Arithmancy (is basically an early version of an excerpt from M, W, and U M)
